Hi everyone!
Well it's pretty toasty down here in sunny Sussex so another half speed day methinks!!
Plans for today include finding a basket to put all the bits my sis and I have bought to put into my Mum's pamper hamper for her 60th birthday this Sat.
Then I suppose I shall have to do that dratted ironing tonight...I meant to do it last night but I made a cake for the Senco and the small person's teacher instead by way of a thankyou for all the support they've given us over the last year.
Got a load of goosegogs from my Daddy yesterday so have frozen them whilst I decide what to do with them...maybe jam or maybe Ill stew them.
Mushroom stroganoff for tea tonight and continue reading my library book which is currently preventing me from getting on with all sorts of other delights!!
Cheerio

Hello All,
PP - hope hospital was okay, Aussie Lass you must be frantic, wishing your son better very quickly, SnowyOwl hope your cat comes home soon.
Had a dreadful day yesterday, could not get a flight for love nor money, fell out with DH over it and was generally miserable and ratty. Got up this morning, had a flight booked by 8am for a bargain price (even threw in 4 in-flight meals as it was so cheap and DH loves airline food), DS's passport arrived and my cheque for holiday spending money came too! All in all a much better day all round.
Went in late to work today as DH was on duty so house was clean when I left and beds made (remembered the kids beds today). Washing all done (ready for packing) and will do a roast chicken and salad tonight for dinner.
Need to do a very small shop just to get us through to Friday and need to make the house spick and span too before we leave. Love to come home to a clean house after hols.
Must try and get the kids into bed early, just can't seem to do it at the moment and they are pooped, particularly DD, she looked quite white this morning.
Enjoy whats left of the day all, keep cool!!

Hi Johanne, lovely to see you again and sounding so happy! Congrats on your blossoming relationship with your OH, he's going to be spoilt rotten once you get into that kitchen. Congratulations on your new job as well, you must be so pleased.
I nipped home at lunchtime, and still no Ted. One of my neighbours was out sunning herself and I enquired with her if she had seen him - she hadn't, and as her dogs have been quiet (they are the ones Teddy likes to flaunt himself at to make them bark) we concluded he hadn't been around at all this morning. Then one of the local kids banged on the door to report that he saw Ted last night - apparently dodging the ball on the local hurling pitch - and he ran off in the opposite direction. I've got a bit of a lead to go on now, so if he's not back when I get home I'll go searching in that direction in case he's just a bit disorientated. Can you tell how fond I am of this cat? His disappearance is really getting to me - I still miss each of my three beautiful cats who all died last year. I really don't want to go through such heartbreak and heartache again. Your stories of missing felines who all returned are giving me hope, so I'm gritting my teeth for now.
Mirakl, that is one expensive bike! Once it's sorted though that'll be it for a good long time - if you think of it in terms of annual expenditure it'll still work out loads cheaper than buses or your own car.
Must go - I have yet another virtual knife hanging from my back to attend to (someone has been caught fibbing and consequently landing me in the poop...but I am not having it, gonna hand the poop bath right back!)
Bye all, see you later.
