    ok thanks ...

    in brief ..

got stopped by 2 cops. Was not using the mobile but was between my legs. Wife had just given birth a few hours b 4 after many hours of labour. Apologised to the cops. adrenaline flowing ( they were v arrogant and showed no compassion or unrderstanding) but they were'nt having it. Got a ticket with 3 points and & £60 fine - not a happy bunny. Is there any comeback (appeal process) there?

    No there isnt

Both police officers will testify you were using it. You also accepted the spot fine and in essence admit the offence in doing so.

Should count yourself lucky they didnt report you for dangerous driving instead as this would carry a heavier fine.

Grow up and accept the consequences of your actions.

If you were not using the phone, I would have thought that you could defend yourself by disclosing a formal record of your calls. If there is no record of you having been on the phone immediately prior to your ticket...then that should sort it.

The big difficulty is proving that the details you provide belong to the phone that was between your legs...which I guess is probably near impossible. Sorry.

BTW...congratulations on the addition to your family!

Are you having a bad day or something - your words do not make sense. Don't comment again - your are reported!!

  • Why did the police pull you over? If your phone was between your legs then they wouldn't have been able to see it while you were driving (and the fact that you weren't using it). As Nukumai suggested, your phone records should provide the evidence that you weren't using it.

What part of it doesnt make sense?
    And reported for what?

You commited a traffic offence, you got caught, pay the fine and move on.

Assume the "grow up" comment hit a nerve. Would have with me anyway. Was pretty rude and uncalled for.

OP, as others have stated, some more politely than others, there isnt anything you can do Im afraid. Congrats on new baby.
