Did they ask to see your call log at the time to prove you had just made/received a call or text? Or did you offer to show them your call log?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

I will give you a very constructive comment.
Although i am happy for the addition to your family,on the 15/03/08 my brother was involved in a car accident where the driver was not concentrating on the road,ok he was not using his Mobile but not concentrating whilst using your mobile is an offence.
He sustained in the accident
Fractured c-6 in the neck
Fractured t4-t5-t6 in his back
Difuse axonal brain injury, with shearing effect
That happened almost two years ago and he is still in a brain rehabilitation unit.
So i guess the Moral of what i am about to say is concentrate on your bloody driving,if you need to make a call pullover if you dont pullover to make your call and get caught, tough.
By the way the driver of the other car had a broken wrist,he was charged with Careless driving and got a £100.00 fine with a £15.00 victim surcharge, and was told to retake his test.
My brother will never lead an independent life again.
Count yourself bloody lucky that you are still alive to be a father/Mother.Forum spellcheckers are the pitts.0 -

OP, as others have stated, some more politely than others, there isnt anything you can do Im afraid. Congrats on new baby.
Actually I don't agree, the OP was caught on a mobile - ok he must have been on it before being stopped, else the police would not have seen it ... so pay up & move on.

Sorry to hear about your brother, but the OP has quite clearly stated that he wasn't using his phone; he just had it between his legs.
I didn't think it was against the law to put your phone there, and it's a better place to put it than the parcel shelf where it can slide about.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Are you having a bad day or something - your words do not make sense. Don't comment again - your are reported!!
I disagree with him frequently, I don't like the thrust of most of his posts. But there is one thing which would be worse than his posts, and that is a happy clappy site where everyone always agrees.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Anihilator is right (not put across in the niceset way), you were caught and there is no excuse for using your phone whilst driving, and I think you will find even holding it constitutes using it these days. Pay the fine and accept the points, lesson learnt and I doubt you will do it again.
It's also cheaper to buy a bluetooth headset for future you'll save atleast £40 compared to the fine and the insurance increase.[/Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
If the police saw you using your phone whilst driving then whats the problem, why should you be given any special treatment ? yes your wife recently gave birth but thats no reason to use a mobile whilst driving ? accept the fine and the points and dont do it again. Theres no exscuse for using a mobile while driving, theres reasons why you should'nt do it.0

Do you often drive with phone between your legs?
Do you think Police are stupid? Why would you drive with phone between your legs if you hadnt or were about to make a call.
Pay the fine and move on...ok thanks ...
got stopped by 2 cops. Was not using the mobile but was between my legs. Wife had just given birth a few hours b 4 after many hours of labour. Apologised to the cops. adrenaline flowing ( they were v arrogant and showed no compassion or unrderstanding) but they were'nt having it. Got a ticket with 3 points and & £60 fine - not a happy bunny. Is there any comeback (appeal process) there?0 -
