The community boards are suggesting that the 'no turbolister' may well be designed to catch out business sellers masquerading as private sellers who may just upload tomorrow thinking it is free. We've got used to TL showing fees when in fact there are none due so it won't look odd to see fees being calculated and they might not think to check their account.
I couldn't possibly comment on any of the many and varied conspiracy theories but the no third party lister exception isn't exactly obvious on the main page. I tend to be a bit paranoid about terms and conditions and spotted it almost immediately, but I can honestly see how it might get overlooked if you read just the main bits.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Create the listings this week, schedule them to start on Monday 18th, and then edit the scheduled listing on sunday to list immeadiately.
The schedule fee is only charged at the time the listing goes live.
Thanks for this tip as I'm using it0 -
I give it till this afternoon before the servers collapse with all the crap being listed0

And a warning about re-lists -
Do them individually from your 'Unsold' list, not as a bunch as you'll be charged insertion fees  I've just been caught out on this :mad:0 -

That's worth knowing and would support the theory they are trying to catch out wrongly listed business sellers.. Does the fee actually show when you check your account as I've noticed when I relist 'free' media items I am always shown a fee but am never charged it in the account.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The fee showed on the re-listing/edit page under the five items before I hit submit. Then checked my account summary, and there it was.
Won't be doing that again in a hurry!0 -
If that is the same for everyone then I imagine a number of people will be caught out.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
