    Morning :hello:

YAY more snow :j :D The chickens have got used to it now - the first couple of days, they were hiding in the greenhouses (you should see the mess they've made in them, lol) but now it doesn't bother them. They don't bother with their water either, they just peck at the snow when they're thirsty.

Came down this morning to no lights. The fuse has blown, affecting all the lights downstairs. No trip switches, our electrics are really old  So I need to find some fuse wire, I'm sure we've got some somewhere...............

I'm planning the garden at the mo. I've just totted up last year's numbers - 316lb of fruit and veg, plus some stuff I didnt weigh, including 61 peppers, endless chard, spinach and salad leaves, 20 sprout stalks, 6 garlic bulbs, 2 celery (most died) and 4 spring onions (most died). And 106 eggs :D Wonder what that would've cost if I'd bought it all?

Oooh and I sold 6 eggs :j I was asked how much, I said I hadn't worked it out yet, give me a mo............turns out they didn't have a mo (lol) so shoved £1.50 in my hand  :D

Just when I get them all back to school it snows again. My kids are at home again today:rolleyes:. It looks wonderful though and I still love it :snow_grin

Ds2 will want his buddies to come round for pizzas. I might do that or I might suggest they meet at the park and have fun in the snow and maybe come round for a hot drink and a flapjack.

OH has gone to work as usual, he hasn't missed a day because of the weather yet.

So, lunchboxes were done last night, they have cheese sandwiches in which I shall dip in egg and fry- think they're called cheese dreams. I'll have yet more leftovers. No leftover sausage stovies from yesterday unfortunately- they were delicious:drool:

Breakfast will be baked beans and a rasher of bacon each.

Supper is going to be this with fried eggs.

Dark and cold here this morning but no more snow, just icy. OH still on early turns woke me but I managed to get back to sleep. Bought cakes/biscuits for my colleagues yesterday and had some so now need to be strict as have eaten and drank lots in the past week, so will weigh tomorrow and get back on track.

Just have to work until lunchtime today and that's my paid working week over, but have lots to do at home as didn't do much last week due to birthday celebrations and going away! My niece's birthday was on Sunday and I'm taking her shopping this weekend, as I hadn't got a clue what to get her and she didn't know either, my sis has now informed me that she's very indecisive, should make for a very interesting shopping trip!!! OH and I had lovely fish for dinner last night, mum and dad fed the boys for me, so that was an unexpected help. Remembered to get the lamb out of the freezer but it hasn't quite thawed as yet, but it will by the time I need to use it and it will become lamb hotpot and will make a potato bake to go with it as I need food on a Wednesday that I can just put in the oven and leave to cook and then serve as DS2 has Cubs and we need to eat (OH and I) as soon as I've taken him otherwise it's too late for OH to eat with getting up early. Hopefully there will be some potato bake left so we have that tomorrow night with the chicken dish I've planned - if there's any left!!

    Got to go now.

Take care those in the snow. Keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

Thought I'd get in early before this thread grows and grows and I spend all day at work reading it instead of doing work! Though that will probably still happen :rotfl:

We have snow :j just more than a sprinkle too. Although sadly I think I will still have to go to work. I'll put my walking boots ot wellies on and walk in, please all pray that I don't go @rse over t!t!! :rotfl:

OS wise, just cooking tea tonight and washing up is needed today, oh and BM will go on overnight. Although if I get day off I will do lots of batch cooking.

Have a good day all, stay safe and warm

Morning all, just a quick hello as I'm about to go off to Dds for the morning school run with the boys.I am hopeing that the snow will miss my part of Kent this morning as its just starting to go from the side roads a bit.,I got the wash done overnight and its all on the airer in the kitchen where it will stay until dry.Nothing urgently required so its not a problem and the airer is right by the radiator.Hope you all have a productive day

Oh my goodness I can not believe it - the whole of the city seemingly is covered in black ice!:eek::eek: I had to drive to work this morning as I must attend a meeting at the bank later on but was absolutely frightened silly! 4 x 4 's in front of me were just sliding across the road! It is impossible to get a foothold anywhere and our car park at work is absolutely awful. Never thought I would say this but deep snow is much preferable to this!!!!

Anyway I am here safely for the moment - don't have to go to the meeting until about 9.30 so hopefully it might be slightly better by then.

    Keep safe everyone

    Hi,
It has as predicted snowed heavily on top of snow and ice and is continuing to snow as I type. I have to get DD 25 miles into college as she has A2 exam at lunchtime. It will be a dodgy journey but has to be done:eek:

Im washing the throws off my sofas and chairs today after the comments on doggies on sofas_pale__pale_ I had a burst of energy yesterday and am hoping that it will continue. Im hoping the side-effects will diminish quickly.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
