• Hi, i've also been stitched up by this dodgy company. Reading Mummy2kids has her money refunded because she paid by Visa debit card has given me confidence, I will get my money refunded, because I also paid by Visa debit card. I went to Santander, and they gave me a number to ring. I rang the number and said I would like to claim for a Visa chargback, they told they will be sending out a claims form to me. I find it hard to believe how cruel Consumer Credit Services can be & how they can get away with it. I thought the law was really strict on fraud......O

Hi marcuszs, I experienced the same event as you. The number that I always ring was either busy or no ringing. I found another number from the c-c-s 0844 571 9571 I was speaking to either Gareth Jacob or the manager Harry Watkins. They told me they will refund my money now. See if u can talk to them. Garth was very helpful. Only speak to these two. P.s I will inform u once I get anymore.information. Lucy

I bet you did not talk to "Harry Watkins" that is a pub in Llanelli.
The reason people work there is because there is no work at all around here.

I guess if some people are desperate enough to work, then they will be tempted to work at such a place. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing that i was stealing from people. I hope there is some sort of action taken against this organisation, and the people that run it.
• Embarrassingly I also fell for the Consumer Credit Services Ltd scam and followed the refund procedure, using recorded delivery etc. I have got through once or twice. I have enough evidence to take them to court for breach of contract.
It surprises me that they got through M of J screening procedure (if there is one??)
M o J were very helpful, as have OFT. But the best route for compensation is the Visa Debit Chargeback Scheme. They will send you a declaration form - you need a record of correspondence and calls with dates, and preferable a copy of the T&C
• Hi there, I am experiencing the EXACT SAME thing!!
I have currently emailed Trading Standards, awaiting reply. In the meantime I am just about to write a letter to their registered Office address which I found through Companies House. Address is:
Consumer Credit Services
15-16 Castle Buildings
Murray Street
Llanelli
Dyfed
Wales
SA15 1AQ.

Maybe you give it a go too eh?!!
Good Luck

• My story, like most starts of with great promises of getting money back and not taking any money from your account until you receive the paperwork. Unfortunately the reality is that the money was taken almost immediately and the paperwork was no where to be seen. I eventually phoned up to complain and asked for a refund of the money to which they said they would get it sorted out. However after waiting a week and half, still no refund. I was later told it took them 28 days to issue a refund. Shocking considering it took them less than 24hrs to take it in the first place. However I'm relieved to say that I did get my money back. Here's how I did it.

1. Phone them. Constantly. Keep nagging. They cut me off on many occasions when I said about a refund. But I just phoned right back and got someone else and started again. My aim was to get my name appearing on the system as much as possible.

2. Get firm details from them. When will it be refunded. What is the advisors full name, not just the first one.

3. Get the name of the manager that is on duty, both names again. Get an email address and telephone number if you can.

4. Start emailing the people you can get a hold of. They turned their customer service email address off at one point, hence the reason you need someone elses details. Useful contacts at the end of this post.

5. Write a formal letter of complaint and send it recorded delivery. Email the same letter of complaint to the directory and manager.

They shifted offices half way through me dealing with them. They also shifted call centre numbers without any forwarding numbers. Thankfully they were stupid enough to phone my wife on her mobile offering her their services despite that being the number they had called originally.

Their new address is

2nd Floor
Dominions House
Queen Street
Cardiff
CF10 2AR

New customer services number: 08444 932893

Manager: Emma Thomas - emma.thomas@c-c-s.co.uk
Directory: Mark Davies - mark.davies@c-c-s.co.uk

Keep phoning. Keep complaining.

I've never had the misfortune of dealing with such an unprofessional company. My greatest annoyance is that I actually fell for it despite having a strict policy of not buying anything on the phone or at the doorstep.
• Woke up this morning and for some reason i thought about about this thread, its over a year ago i started it and iv not herd a thing back from them , tbh i completely forgot but i liked the reply fom the person who went and collected there cheque in person, im very tempted to hop in my car and visit them in person now.

Is this issue still ongoing for many other people?
• email sent see if i get a reply to it,

Hi,

My name is Marcus , I received a phone call from yourself s around Dec offering to help re reclaim loans/payment insurance ect ect ect.
At that time I was in a bad situation and i thought that this was just what i needed to help me out, after paying you the £199.99 i decided not to go ahead with the process and asked for a refund , I did everything the your company asked and told it would be issued to me in around 7/14 days (im not sure on the time-scale but it was something around this).
To my surprise i never saw a refund , i constantly rang speaking to very unhelpful members of staff who didn't want to talk to me or even want to listen.
I had basicly given up on receiving a refund from yourself s but i have now decided that i shouldnt just roll over and let this go.
I would like to direct you this this website which doesn't make for good reading , https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2200023
I would like you to refund me in full before i either take this matter to court or drive to your office to collect the money in person.

Thanks

marcus
• In August last year I was rung by this company saying they can help me reclaim unfair credit card charges. I said I would like to look at the paperwork but not to sign up so they took my details. Within 5 minutes of the call they had Take £199.99 out of my bank. I rang them back to tell them not to bother with the service and refund my money. 6 months later I still have no money, I have returned so many forms it is unbelievable, been abused down the phone by their staff and allsorts. I was advised by the Ministry of Justice to send one last letter asking for my money or I would take the matter further. I sent the letter and paid for recorded delivery si I know someone received it but now I cannot get hold of them on any of their numbers including the one below. I fear that they have packed up shop with mine and everyone elses money. I am very upset about this and do not know what to do, as my bank have been no help at all.

Any advice anyone.
• I was one of the callous call centre operators. I was given all the information about how the banks and building societys had mis-sold financial items and off we went, believing what we was selling was the genuine article, having seen the Ministry of Justice site, showing a genuine registration.

I quit when i was Bawled out for not selling to a single mother of 5 who was expecting a newborn, and was on benefits.

I then realised what a callous thing i was doing.

I can only apologise to the many people i unwittingly mislead :(
