I've had a call from these chumps this evening, but they wanted £239 instead of the £199 that I've seen in almost every earlier thread!!! Why has it increased for me I wonder??????? It seems that Christmas is hitting these egits hard!!!! She was very amenable but pushy at the same time. I got done by a similar scam last summer by a firm called Glovista Red so I wasn't going to get bitten twice so easily. Hopefully someone will get arrested early next year (sorry that isn't relevant to this particular 'company').
I told them that I wasn't releasing any card details on the phone, there are a few things that don't ring true. She kept calling me by my first name which seemed a bit much for a call out of the blue and also kept saying that they needed to take my card details to confirm my identity. Surely she knows who i am because she's got my phone number and called me by my first name!!!!
I am so pleased that I read this thread because she was very convincing. She gave me the same company number as seen on other threads (CRM 20280) that was showing as a validated company on their own website, but it would be wouldn't it?????? I spoke to someone called Charlotte and she gave me a phone number of 020 714 83765 to phone her back urgently on. I might phone back but it will be to give them a rocket!!!!
I'm going to mention it to the police to see if they're interested.
If you get a call from them, please check this thread or something like it before giving any details on telephone

These people have phoned me back, saying that they were unable to process the payment. (Glad i cancelled my card!) I told them that i'm not interested anymore, after reading bad things about them on the internet.

They seem to be saying that they can get me compensation of 10% of the insured sum, (My mortgage was £90k when i took it out) but i don't know if thats true? Maybe they can get my money back for a mis-sold PPI, but 10% compensation? I think they're talking out of their behind.

My PPI is a seperate Life and Critical Illness policy with Bright Grey, so i guess it would be harder for them to prove it was mis-sold (ie they can't hide hidden interest rates, etc).

hey bob martin. I don't know your real name but I saw ur post about almost going to work for Ccs was the office in Bridgend by any chance? I know a lot about the job may put ur mind at rest maybe not?

Hi, I was scammed by C.C.S. Llaneli in August. I have tried to get my money back without success since the day after they contacted me,I was told the money would not be taken until I recieved the paperwork and they just needed my crdit card details to verify who I am (yes I know) Anyway, I filled in their form sent back the pack registered mail and then called then when I knew it had been recieved by them I was told it would be on my credit card within 5 working days, it wasn't, then that I would have to give them a different bank account number to pay it onto which I did (yes I know, idiot.) it was not done. Anyway, following several more calls and an email to their office, in November I was told a cheque would be sent which of course has not arrived. More phone calls have followed to no avail, I get fobbed of everytime that is if they answer the phone at all which often they do not.
I rang them today and was told that the refund dept would have to contact me tonight or tomorrow morning. At this point I searched the internet and saw this forum. Following advise I read here, I have contacted my credit card company, they put me through to the fraud department and they think they will be able to refund the money and recover it from CCS themselves. They are sending the forms to me. Hope this happens. I feel such an idiot.

They are conmen they scanked me out of 199.99 stupid me gave em my details in nov 2009 rang em about refund said i had to put it in writing did that . put it in writing still nothing they even had cheek to ring me again today .. told em they were a set of robbing !!!!!! said he wpuld put manager on .. put phone down on me stear clear dont be silly like me .. am so mad with myself but dont know how to get money back :mad:

Hiya i need a little help

I too was conned by this company, yet wouldn't touch these type of sales normally. I have paid the 199.00 and completed the paperwork and sent it off. They said that even though i didnt have the reference numbers anymore i didnt need to worry as they coulod access them for a small fee. i gave them as much information as possible and included the cheque for £12 as requested. After trying to contact them and not getting very for i emailed stating what i was told. They have since emailed back stating that i need to conatact the loan and credit card companies direct.

After looking ion the internet i realised i have been fleeced.

Can i get my money back??
Please advise on my options and what to do next
