in Credit cards
I was called earlier by a gentleman on behalf of 'Consumer Credit Services' offering to wipe my credit card if they find a discrepency in the credit agreement, which he claimed they have always managed to do. The service required payment of £199.99 which could be paid on my credit card- hence would be wiped. Has anyone else encountered this? Is it a scam?
Many thanks!

Major development!
I gave the company my credit number and start and finish date under the pretence of using it to check my eligibility during my aforementioned conversation, i refused to give them the 3 digit authorization code as I started to get suspicious (hence my previous post)...rightfully so! I received a call from my bank saying a mobile phone sales company had unsuccessfully attempted to take £150 from my account 3 times. Thankfully my bank refused all transactions and have issued me a new card. I fear I must be extra-vigilant from now on!
The company in question went by the name of Consumer Credit Services, the operative by the name of Simon Morse from the phone number 02033015295. They claimed to be registered with the Ministry of Justice with the reference CRM20280 and offered the support number 08454347425.0 -
Bobwonderer,
I was recently contacted by a lady but she was saying she could get back all my bank charges & any insurance on loans I hace recieced over a period of 25yrs. This could potentially get me back in the region of £3-5000 after investigations are carried out.
I asked alot of Q's & was given same details as you,

The lady asked if I was able to give £199 but I said no as cash was tight then the bells started ringing when she asked could a friend lend me the money until I get paid, I then told her to call back at a later date,
I am glad I have saw this on this site & cant wait for them to call back as I going to give them some verball.
I wouldnt have gone through with this antway but it shows you peple are out to get you & con you in anyway possible.0 -

Consumer Credit Services is a ligitimate business, registered wit the ministry of Justice SEE HERE under the number CRM20280.
However, you can still do all they state for a fraction of the cost - usually £1 for an agreement request or £10 for a statement requestNo Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

Have some self respect and pay the debt. Trying to avoid your responsabilities is just totally dishonest.0 -
