Parcel2go.com Loss claim problems

  • I am having a similar experience with P2G. Yodel (DHL) picked up a parcel of mine a few weeks ago and it was lost after being taken to a depot. The claims procedure is rubbish. I was sending my laptop away in a box that was obviously a laptop and so a driver stole it no doubt. Just avoid this company as they are slapdash. Use the Royal Mail.

Collect+ are run by HDNL aswell
If you don't like HDNL use https://www.hermes-europe.co.uk

This is like saying "if you don't like a slap in the face, have a kick in the goolies instead".

Any courier with the self-employed driver type of business model been not be relied upon. They spend more time arguing amongst themselves rather than getting the job done or taking responsibility.

Sent a laptop back to laptops direct and paid £25 for the delivery and £300 insurance. Laptopsdirect have confirmed parcel wasn't received and person who allegedly signed for it doesn't work for them. Parcel2go have rejected the claim and have just emailed over a copy of the label with a squiggle signature on it saying its been delivered.

From reading the above comments I don't hold out much hope

I hope you don't use DPD either, they've started doing it too!
  • Well emailed parcel2go claims yesterday including this G Iveson who is mentioned on this thread and not so much as an acknowledgement!

You pay extra for insurance on a parcel and don't want to honour a claim when it goes missing.
I am now £325 out of pocket

HAS ANYONE got p2Gs Phone number - NOT a premium rate number.

Is there a courier Company someone WOULD recommend?

Preferably with a phone number that gets answered and one that ISN't premium rate?

P2G's no longer have a number, only live chat.

If you want a good company go with https://www.interparcel.com, whose number is 01293 558872, or https://www.wedelivertheworld.co.uk whose number is 01628 533123

I called them on their 0871 number and they were less than interested. Then through a stroke of luck I actually found where they had delvered my parcel to on the same industrial estate and the proprietor was the same name who signed for it. I called the number on the website and he admitted to receiving laptops delivered incorrectly via parcelforce and they had collected them at a later date. he advised he would have alook around for my laptop.

Parcel2go didn't help at all but at least I know they delivered it to the wrong address so they are definitely at fault.
  • After several calls and emails absolutely nothing from this appalling company.

I decided to look into myself and have actually tracked down where it was delivered. It was delivered to another laptop company further up the road the owner actually signed for it and is going to have a look to see if he can find it.

I can honestly say I have never dealt with a company as bad as parcel2go. Staff and managers alike don't even acknowledge there is a problem or reply to emails let alone sort it out. When you call you get the what dow you want me to do about it attitude.
