Yeah, i know - thats why i was reluctant to use them at first. But 20+ parcels safely delivered so far - and cover is £50. You get tracking for not much more than the cheapest standard parcel rate - which always seem to go missing for me. Plenty of 20% off code throwing about too - so even better.
Maybe its better cutting out the middle man, although i suppose the shop is the middle man here. No waiting in all day either.0 -
parce2go are crap,at the moment im putting in a claim for a smashed item and they ask for proof of value saying that a screen print of paypal is fine so i send in a screen print of the paypal transaction and they reject it,they dont let me know its rejected though and dont give me a reason, its only luck i signed in and noticed it had been rejected, now the days are ticking down that i have to get this sorted and il probably have to wait a day or so for a response to why they rejected what they say would be fine.
in the past i have had them say a parcel has been delivered when it has not been delivered claiming that they have a signature and all the signature showed was a scribble but becouse they had a random scribble they said it had been delivered and it was my problem to find out where it was, even though the address it was supposed to be delivered at had no one home cos they had gone on holiday so it was not possible for anyone to have signed for it at the address it was meant for.
another time they delivered a parcel a mile away from the house it was meant to go to but again becouse they had delivered it to an address and had a signature they no longer wanted to know, basicaly as long as the parcel gets signed for by someone even a random person no where near the address its meant to go to you are not covered and they do not care
another time i sent four wheels with them, only three arrived at the destonation,i had covered them for £200 but because three had arrived i could not claim the £200 even though three wheels are worthless so again no compensation
parcel2go do not care if you take your business elsewhere as plenty more people will still use them,i send loads of parcels and parcel2go do not care if they loose my custom
also never bother with the online chat thing they offer as it is useless and they just waste your time and then say you will have to call an expensive number or send an e-mail iv had this happen loads of times.quite often they will just close the conversation as they can not be bothered and when you try and call and get put on hold for 30 minutes when you finaly get through they normaly cut you off before even saying a word
THERE IS NO HELP OR COMPENSATION WHEN THINGS GO WRONG0 -

Hi
Parcel2Go has asked us to post a response on its behalf for andhell69. MSE doesn't endorse anything a company says on the Forum.
Im sorry to hear of the lost of your parcel I can assure you this is not a typical experience of Parcel2go.com and less than 0.02% fail to arrive at their destination with our services, however when you fall into this bracket it’s no help at all, however I would like to look into this further for you and if you could forward me the P2G number to support@parcel2go.com FAO George and include the P2G number and quote ‘Money Saving Expert.com’ in the subject line I will look into this in detail and get back to you with a response. Kind Regards George Iveson https://www.parcel2go.comCould you do with a Money Makeover?

I was successful in making a claim with P2G in 2009 but they only paid out half the value of my item! So even if you make a claim your denied having your correct re-imbursement.
I am in the position of making another claim following my parcel being lost in the depot and then being delivered damaged. I doubt I will get satisfaction.
If I don't I WILL be going to claims court to get my money back purely out of principle! I hope George Iveson is reading this, it doesnt look like his quality team are doing a very good job seeing as this thread is so old!0 -
DO NOT USE PARCEL2GO.COM (End off) The online help are no help. Very nice and dipomatic, but DO NOTHING to resove a problem.0

Oh, it doesn't look good for me. I had a parcel go missing in transit, booked via parcel 2 go and was couriered by City Link, they eventually found the parcel in oxford, should have been in Cumbria and it has arrived damaged as the person who recieved in Oxford open the parcel and didn't repackage it as we sent it.
Why on earth do Parcel 2 go want photos of the packaging of the interior and exterior of the box before it was sent, who takes photos of these, it is to reject the claim, but I will not take this lying down, I will take them to small claims.
I have used them 3 times recently but I will not be using them again, the claims procedure is just beyond belief.
AVOID THIS COMPANY, I wish I had read this forum before sending the flipping thing.

When it works its wonderful - Make a claim for damage to a perfectly properly packaged parcel and they are the PITS!!
A parcel collected from me on 16th January arrived with the some of the content broken.
I used the online 'chat help' to ask how did I make a claim for the damage. The lack of any obvious contact telephone number should have warned me but their tactics in doing everything possible to avoid assisting the customer are breathtaking.
Filled out the online claim form, was unable to send picture of the innner packaging as naturally the recipient had removed it to inspect the obvious noise of some broken content. Second call to the chat help, explained my dilemma and was given an email address to contact to explian was and told this would suffice, which I promptly did.
I checked my account after a day or for any update of the claim and indeed this must have been accepted as the status of all required documentation was now marked, received and approved.
Days elapse and I hear nothing further, call help chat again, told someone would email later that day with an update. Needless to say this did not happen. The following day I receive an email asking me to supply pictures of the inner packaging of the parcel, sent by someone entirely different to the person to whom I had already supplied this information . I replied giving these details and of events to date. No reply or acknowledgment of my email.
27th January still nothing so once more I speak to the chat help, who then tells me they are still waiting for the documentary proof of the inner packaging of the parcel.
Pasted in details of all the previous conversations/emails all of which have this information and after a short delay was told she did not work in claims and couldn't help ! Would I like someone to call me ? I gave her two telephone contact numbers -- needless to say the silence has been deafening , no telephone call has been received. I did ask if there was a telephone number I could call which was provided.
Later that day I receive yet another email, this time from the person whose name I was given to contact originally - asking me once more for proof of the inner of the parcel !! What is it with these people ? Do they not know how to read !!!
I replied once more giving them transcripts of all previous conversations/emails etc. No response, no acknowledgment from that mail either.
To try and get some sense from someone I rang the telephone number I had been given earlier and having gone through all the usual button pressing options eventually asked to be put through to the name I been given at the outset. Was asked my name and after a pause was told the line was busy and no I couldn't hold until it was free.
So two weeks on from happily accepting my goods for transit which I paid insurance for 'just in case' they smash the contents of my very well packaged parcel . I have lost my goods, been obliged to make a refund to cover the cost of replacing the damaged item with my buyer and am seriously out of pocket. Am I any nearer to having my claim settled ? No ! Does Parcel2go care ? Not one bit, they are a disgrace !
Only the fact that I need to stay in contact prevents me from directing their daily emails exhorting me to take advantage of their wonderful rates and fantasic servce . I THINK NOT0 -
I used Parcel2 Go 2 weeks ago, paid extra for insurance, it was collected the morning after I booked, so around 12 hours, great! The tracking worked for a few days, but the recipient wasn't in on several attempts, and then nothing. No updated tracking, several emails to a Katherine Black sent me running from dept to department, by which time the recipient was also on their LIve Help, as was I, but you get told nothing, other than to make a claim. I was given the runaround so had no choice but to make a claim.
I spent 2 hours going over live help convos, my emails to K Black, all the tracking, described the parcel contents, size and packaging as requested, and was told I had 14 days to provide the required info. I now see this is not only a stalling tactick but as I did not photograph my parcel (as I'm not in the habit of photoographing my post) I cannot get past the Not yet approved aspect of the claim, so it will no doubt have the claim rejected. I was told I must wait for the courier to get back to me, but after 5 days nothing, so when I asked why the courier hasn't got back to me, I was told they have reported it to a claims manager....2 days later nothing again.
I tired a phone number off a site link but it was just an automated error message.
The contents of the lost parcel are £40, so it looks like I'm just being given the runaround and I will lose the order as well as little hope of ever getting the item returned.
If anyone has any advice, please let me know - surely there must be something to stop such rogue trading?0
