This is my story; I was travelling to South Africa for a length period. I had too much luggage hence I decide it courier some of them. The courier I was to use from Heathrow to South Africa was based in Reading and since I stay in Gloucester I decide to find a courier to take my packages to Reading. I used UPS through parcel2go, the drive pickup 3 package: a box, a blue bag and a small black bag and the place where these packages were pick up have confirmed to me that they do have video of the drive picking up three package but did not leave any receipt at all .These packages were picked up on the 26/09/12, it was the same day that I flew to South Africa. I contacted my courier the day I arrive in South Africa only to be told that only one package was delivered which was the box. I wasn’t very alarmed so I wait till the next day just in case they had misplaced it and would redeliver. I called again my courier and the packages were not delivered. I contacted UPS could not help me hence I should contact parcel2go . I did contact them through email and all I got was an automatic email with the same thing. Since I did not have their phone number I went on their chat and all I got was that there is nothing they can do for me until I have filled in claim form. This was the beginning of a very frustrating and stressful holiday. Those packages had my clothes, all my clothes that I had except maybe just 3 outfits I had. My friend in the UK called parcel2go and they confirmed that all they had spoken to UPS and all packages had been delivered. I called the courier company back and they denied this and they called parcel2go themselves. This began to take over my whole holiday. I went on and filled in a claim form at parcel2go website and they request that I attach a collection receipt, deliver receipt and proof of value. I told the over and over again more than 10times that I was not in the UK and did not have those things. They told me though a chat that there was nothing they can do for me. I was so angry and had to purchase new clothing. . When I came back to the UK on the 3rd of Feb., looking for my things was the first thing on my mind. So l got in touch with parcel2go and still they were saying they need proof and I told them that the driver never left a receipt on collection, the other delivery receipt and proof of value I have no idea how I can get that at all. They even at one point called me a liar and thief. So I contact UPS since they are the courier I had chosen to use. UPS replied to me very fast and asked for my tracking number which I gave them and then they wrote to me that there was nothing they can do since 60days had passed since sending my packages and that parcel2go never connected them regarding my packages. After receiving a lot of automotive email from parcel2go and saying that there was nothing they can do. I even asked them for their address but they refuse to give it to me. a day later they turn around and offer me £50, and send me this long email that I should have selected the option that pays me £500 otherwise the £50 is what I will be getting. How condescending is that. I’m more frustrated with the fact that they never bothered to look for my things, if they had made an effort to look for my things and turn around and said that they could not find them, hey that would have been great but they never even bother to call UPS to even try and track my things . it’s so cheap for them to just pay people £50 than to look for peoples things I don’t think they should be in this industry where they offer Service to handles peoples packages for they lack duty of care . Since I came back I have gone on the net and realised that parcel 2go does not even look for people things when they loose them they just offer that £50, a lot of people have had complaints with this company , And are not very happy with the service of parcel2go. UPS should disassociate itself with parcel2go, if anyone can help me i want to knw how i can sue them coz im very angry and if anyone want us to put a claim together0

I arranged for 2 parcels to be collected on Monday. I waited all day but no one showed up. Emails to Parcel2go.com went unanswered. Made contact on Tues when they said they would look into it. Yodel arrived unexpectedly on Wed morning- while I was on the phone to my daughter discussing something else, and collected both parcels. I asked her to make sure they left a receipt and they did; a red missed collection/sorry I missed you card where the guy noted the last four digits of the tracking number of each package. To cut a long story short, one parcel was delivered promptly but the second although collected, doesn't exist within the system and was not delivered to the buyer. (I am not a commercial seller). Parcel2go keep asking for the collection receipt because what the courier left is not a collection docket.
Does anyone have a Yodel collection docket they could send me?
I have chased them on numerous occasions but each time I contact them the query starts from the begininng. I didn't take the additional insurance cover but I do not believe this precludes any claim for compensation so I think that a Small Claims Court summons may well have to the next step. That is why I am requesting a sample collection/proof of collection dockets to see what they should have left. I have read on other blogs that Yodel/Parcel2go to not always leave a receipt.
Is this generally the case?0 -
Hi Nick
I had two parcels going to different address collected at the time. One was delivered to the buyer and the other has gone missing. They are saying that nothing was collected from me because I do not have 'their' proof of collection.
I am too considering issuing a County Court summons.
So how did you get on?
Any tips, words of wisedom? I am not a solicitor but confident enough to put my case in front of Judge.
A fuller description of my plight is detailed on 28-2-12.

I've not read all this thread but just want to add that a few years ago I used them to collect a 6ft by 4ft roll bar for a pick up truck.
They collected from up north and the chap posted me prof of collection right away. This item was won on eBay but I had to arrange my own postage as its a large item.
Days passed and it did not arrive, called and was told someone will look in the depo, I know it got as far as Leeds according to their tracker. They couldn't find it. It's massive and was wrapped in the shape of it so it was clear what I was and not a random box. Took4 weeks after writing a strong worded letter with proof of collection, tracking info, evidence of how much it would cost to purchase a replacement. I did sent them the eBay winners page but I only paid 1p for it! In my letter I ranted and warned of Watchdog and Tv etc as I was now aware of their terrible reputation. They sent me a check for £50 as I paid for the basic service. So basic I should not have expected said item to be delivered. Company is a joke and there warehouses are like black holes. This months wins February : Lashes0 -
I stopped using them when they lowered compensation cover to £20 - a ridiculously low amount of cover (Royal mail deliver parcels for £2.20 with £46 of cover!!!!
Up until then they were fine, although i did accept payment for my one claim in credit rather than a refund. Yodel to blame though (who else).0 -
I Would NEVER EVER use this service- pay abit more and use a reputable company like parcel force or royal mail.
PARCEL2GO ARE THE WORST COMPANY,- THEY ARE BASICALLY THIEFS. THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND NEVER SEND THE PARCELS AND WHEN YOU REQUEST A REFUND OR YOUR PARCEL BACK I WAS JUST PLAINLY TOLD "NO" AND "TO HAVE A LOVELY EVENING" NOW IF THAT ISNT SMACK IN YOUR FACE RUDENESS, THEY STILL HAVE YOUR MONEY AND PARCEL
NOTE : THEY HAVE NO PHONE NUMBERS - SO DONT EVER EXPECT TO SPEAK TO ANYONE
EVERYTHING IS DONE VIA EMAIL/ LIVE CHAT (BASICALLY THEY SIT BEHIND A SCREEN , LAUGH AT US AND DO NOTHING)
I COPIED , YES 25 LIVECHAT MAILS AND NOTHING WAS EVER DONE
I WROTE TO THEIR APPARENT "QUALITY CONTROL" AND WAS TOLD BY ABBEY BROWN GOODBYE!!
READ THE REVIEWS 1ST (I NEVER DID AND WISHED I HAD AS WOULDA SAVED ME MONEY AND STRESS)
I HAD TO REFUND MY CUSTOMER SO I LOST OUT OF POCKET AND STILL NO PARCEL- £57 & £7 DELIVERY JUST GIVEN TO PARCEL2GO OUT OF MY POCKET FOR NOTHING - THIEFS
WORST EVER COMPANY - THIEFS0 -

Wish I had read this thread a short while ago ...
Someone mentioned rogue traders and P2G in an earlier post.
Bought an item on eBay. Paid for it - and courier fee - via Paypal.
Seller notified me of a UPS tracking number. Rearranged my work to be 'in' on delivery day according to tracking site. But then parcel 'dropped off' a day earlier when no one at home ...
Parcel visibly split open.
On opening it right up and removing masses of padding, discovered it had been dropped onto a hard floor from a significant height and was damaged quite badly.
Contacted UPS - as you would - and after 4 days of answering emails was told glibly :-
"You can't claim off us. The sender will have to claim off Parcel2go. Goodbye."
A week on and getting nowhere fast (sounds familiar?).
P2G are what, IMHO, I would describe as slippery and evasive.
I trusted the seller to use a "competent and professional courier" but of course I did not see P2Gs supremely exclusive Terms and Conditions ....
Alarm bells would have rung very very loudly had I read them before trusting seller to pick a Company.
Today I had a clear indication in a phone call that P2G are probably already lying to me - P2G claiming to have phoned the seller and discussed the claim.
When I phoned the same number five minutes later I got a BT message saying :- "This number does not receive incoming phone calls."
Curious?
I have a very strong feeling that this is going to take quite a while (no sense of urgency whatsoever from P2G - but a very strong sense of minimising their outlay in a damage claim ...) and will end up in the Small Claims Court.
Does anyone know the name of the P2G Chief Exec. so that I can start filling in the paperwork?0 -

Parcel2go and UPS are nothing to do with you. Its up to the seller to claim off them.
Your claim is with the seller/Ebay/.0 -

You need to let the seller claim from P2G. This is not your problem it is the sellers. You make an item not as described claim against the seller. You return item to the seller when asked , seller refunds you value of goods and shipping cost and seller makes a claim against P2G.0
