Hi bf and welcome:beer:
Hiya Macgirl oooh biscuits - hope they were chocolate:j
Yes have had a couple of wins and I am really trying to stay focussed but sometimes I feel as I am the only one in the house that it's important to!
Sometimes dh would happily go on a spending spree and happily let me pick all the pieces up after:mad::mad:
I try and focus on all the positive things that happen in my life here but there's plenty of carp:eek: This is the reason that I don't come on here for a couple of days sometimes. This is also the reason why I'm confort eating and putting weight on !
Anyway onwards and upwards :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Hope everyone had a good weekend and roll on another week of moneysaving :T:TThe past is over & done & cannot be changed. This is the only moment we can experience - Louise Hay"You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection."-- Buddha0 -
I know what you mean about oh! I keep threatening to let mine deal with the debts while i play his role and keep spending, while hoping someone else is dealing with it. Then i realise that that is how I got into this mess in the first place:rotfl: I've threatened him with taking all his cards off him and giving him pocket money - I would never do that really but hoping the threat will be enough.
The thing that helps most for us is having the kids on board. Every time we buy anything, all we hear is - 'Thought you were saving money' and we have to justify all our spending to them (except when it is things for them strangely) Think it helps for us, as we have promised ourselves a fabulous holiday when we are debt free, so we have a goal - even if it is years away;)

Hi Guys
C - Your kids sound great. My DD's are both under 10. I am trying to teach them a valuable lesson whilst they're young. (Doesn't always work!!). I certainly wish someone had taught me when I was a youngster. I believe that you teach by example - so lets hope that some of it is rubbing off on them. DH still a bit of a nightmare. He just hasn't got the "hunger" to reduce our debts that I've got. If he could start by turning the lights off it would be a help:eek::mad: Okay rant over!
Well I am just about to change my signature. On the money front this month I have far than exceeded my expectations. :T It has been hard work but I have also had a bit of luck. I worked overtime, did clicks, reduced grocery bill drastically, changed electricity tarrif, cashed in some old premium bonds, got freebies, used coupons. On the luck front I had an unexpected bonus, I won a £50 tesco voucher and an exercise bike.
So I have smashed my :T:T:T:Toverdraft no 1 by a massive £1,896.77:T:T:T . Credit cards and loan have also come down. I am sooooooooooooooooooo excited:j:j:j
This month I have more overtime to come and need to get my act together concerning ebay. Little steps for me.
So guys thank you for your kind words, motivation and support :TThe past is over & done & cannot be changed. This is the only moment we can experience - Louise Hay"You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection."-- Buddha0 -
Wow YM - get you! :T The Good Luck continues!!!
Those totals look like they are coming down very nicely - all your hard work is paying off, so that should be the motivation you need to continue. I'm sure the penny will drop with your OH when he sees how well you're doing.
