    Hi YM,

Just calling in for an early morning cup of coffee. I have the grandchildren staying this week as its half term, so no lazy mornings for me. Hope you enjoyed your pancakes last night, we made some and although they are great, they make the whole place smell for hours. I am sure that I can smell them still.!!

You are doing well on your competitions, I tried that for months and didn't win, so gave up in the end, may have another go.......something for nothing.!!!
Well money is a bit tight for us this month, even with budgeting it can still go wrong, mine is more of a cash flow problem at the moment, but its flowing out and not in.!!

I know what you mean about the dieting, we are going away for a week in May an I really need to lose some weight, but can I get my head around it......NO. It doesn't help with the kids being here, because the fridge and cupboards have things in them that we don't usually have, and we're going to bake a chocolate cake today, which really isn't going to help.!

Well, must dash, want to get myself dressed and tidied before the kids get in the bathroom, cos then it looks like a disaster zone.......how 2 kids can make such a mess in a few minutes is beyond me.!!

Take Care, and thanks for the coffee........will being chocolate cake next time I visit.!

  • Hi Elsie

thanks for popping in for a cuppa. Ooooh chocolate cake !!:T

You sound very busy with your grandchildren but I bet you're having lots of fun. I've booked a couple of days off at the end of the week so I can be with my DD's. Can't wait :T

Dieting went out the window again yesterday. I had far too many pancakes !! yummy though:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well I've changed my sig today for my loan as a payment has come out, done clicks and will try and do a few comps later.

Waiting for the end of the month so that I can change odraft figure drastically.

I have become totally obsessed with money saving. DH is going along with it without complaining - AT THE MOMENT! I'm hoping that this will rub off dd's for future. They really should be teaching this stuff at school.

    Have a good day everyone:T

  • I totally agree that they should be teaching this in school! My dd's are aware that I am paying off debts - although they don't know exactly how much, but tbh if they asked, I'd tell them, as I never want them to find themselves in this mess. I involve them as much as I can in saving money and they are really good at it - they've even given me their old DS games to ebay:) Mind you, I have to admit most of the money was spent on them in the first place ;)
Proud to be dealing with my debts,

Wow, Lady Luck has been smiling on you lately hasn't she? :T

Well done on being so money-focused and on the weight loss too - every little helps. ;)
I'm going in the opposite direction :(

Sorry to hear that Macgirl..any reasons why?

Know what you mean YM.. it does become obsessive. I look at my bank account every day (pretty much) and we now account for everything. Still alarmingly few NSDs though..but low spend days are much more frequent than they were. Like today for example went to see a friend get married..but thats still £2.50 on rice confetti and the bus fare as I took my girls with me. Garlic bulbs for the allotment - 92p. So not much and I wouldn't have it any other way but hardly still not technically a NSD - how do people do it??!!
