Hi Guys
A more positive day today I think. Thanks to Brian I could be sorting a new energy Tarrif out. Will let you know how I get on. (Cheers Brian:beer:)
DD's had to take £1 each to school and dress in their own clothes for Haiti. (Good cause so I don't mind).
I have received my free yeast from Allison with a fab little recipe book, (on freebies board). I know i must sound sad but looking forward to having a go at making bread. So after my meeting when I get some time I am thinking it might be quite theraputic with all the kneeding etc ! I suppose it depends on the outcome as to how much the bread suffers !!:rotfl:
Shopping tonight at Asda. Have a free £10 voucher from The Sun yesterday on £50 spend. I wasn't planning to spend this amount - so I'm thinking of doing a fortnights worth of shopping to take advantage of the voucher. 20% discount is too much to ignore !!
Also sending off the "win a Caravan" vouchers that DH has collected from The Sun aswell. (Chances are slim but you just never know! Somewhere along the line I am bound to get some good luck:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)
I ordered some lenor conditioner yesterday, (freebie board). Every little bit helps !
Overtime for me later on so more money in the pot.:j
Oh and how could I forget I've done clicks and will look again on freebies board later.
Thanks for reading. Any tips, advise would be welcome. The past is over & done & cannot be changed. This is the only moment we can experience - Louise Hay"You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection."-- Buddha0 -
Very busy day today. DD's dancing fees and trip to Mr A's. Used a £5 voucher and plenty of bargains.
Just off to do my clicks and look at the freebies board. The past is over & done & cannot be changed. This is the only moment we can experience - Louise Hay"You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection."-- Buddha0 -
Hi Yummymommy
Thanks for posting the tip about the freebies board - I am so swamped with information from this site that I had either overlooked or not yet found the freebies bit. Just toddling off to have a peep now - and will definitely look into the free yeast thing. Homemade bread sounds scrummy:j

Hi PA
Thanks for popping into my diary - i was starting to get really lonely !:T
I know what you mean about the huge amount of info available. I have decided to take small steps.
So at the moment I am doing a few clicks, freebies, couple of comps a day and my spending/to do/balance daily diary.
I am also trying to sort my Fuel tariff out. (just had a major shock with the size of the last bill:mad:) Then 'll move onto the next thing.
I got myself in such a state last week trying to deal with and read everything in one go ! And unfortunately i eat too much chocolate when i get stressed !!The past is over & done & cannot be changed. Don't ever get too lonely - keep posting and people will pop in and out (may not always post on your diary but they do pop in and have a nosey;))
Sometimes I find I have several posts just 'chatting to myself' in my diary:rotfl: but that's fine by me....it's my diary to keep me on track and anyone who pops in and posts in a huge, huge bonus to me and I love it....but if no-one posted on, then I would keep posting just to keep me motivated and debt busting.NR [STRIKE]£5542[/STRIKE]£2771 BC [STRIKE]£7987[/STRIKE]£7700 BC [STRIKE]£3000[/STRIKE]£5100 Cat1 Pd Cat2 Pd Ulstr [STRIKE]£3400[/STRIKE]£3070 TSB [STRIKE]£4851[/STRIKE]£4400 MBNA [STRIKE]£7700[/STRIKE]£3887 NWst [STRIKE]£950[/STRIKE] £700 Hfx [STRIKE]£10097[/STRIKE]£10050 Asda [STRIKE]£398[/STRIKE] £315 HFX1 Pd Hfx2 [STRIKE]£3133[/STRIKE] £3000

Oh cheers guys. My legal thingy is on Wednesday and whilst I have done a lot of prep for it I am very nervous. (which is not like me). Looks like the other splinter legal battle that I had is over and I have won. But don't want to count my chickens yet. Sorry to be so vague about this but until it's all over I just worry about whose reading and don't want to jinx anything !! Anyway hopefully three years of absolute hell will be over soon.
Unfortunately I am a stress eater and so haven't weighed in this week because I know I've put weight on. In fact I've just stuffed my face !! Will weigh in next week after meeting over.
I've changed by energy tarrif today. THANKS BRIAN -EON. I've also had quotes for cavity and loft insulation as our house seems to be leaking heat!! Can't afford to have them both at the same time but tiny steps.
Haven't had chance to do anything major today - my life seems on hold until after Wednesday. Might just pop over to freebies board - just in case!
Thanks NF and Planning for reading.:TThe past is over & done & cannot be changed. This is the only moment we can experience - Louise Hay"You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection."-- Buddha0 -
Hi,
Just popping in to say hello.........I saw your post on Planning's diary and have now subscribed to your diary too.! You are doing fine and seem to have your MSE head on. I hope everything goes okay for you on Wednesday and that you can begin your diet again. I know exactly where you are coming from with the eating thing, if I have anything on my mind or something that needs to be sorted, then diet is out of the window......its a comfort thing.!!! I mean what's better than a cup of coffee and a handful of biscuits.???? I have put loads of weight on over the last 2 years and you would think that with all the worry that I have had that I would have lost weight.......but no ....not me.!! Anyway, I keep trying to deal with it, but my man priority is the debt, once that is gone then I think that I will have peace of mind and then can concentrate on other things.
Glad to hear that you have found the Oldstyle money saving board, I love that thread and also the Christmas boards, I have a pressie box going most of the year, and have almost done buying presents for the adults for this year. Strictly cash , of course, no point buying them cheap in the sales and putting them on a credit card.
Right, must go, but I will be popping in for coffee, I have such a busy life these days, must call in on Planning today.!!

Hi
Thanks Elsie. Yep have succumbed to chocolate today. (freebie going around the office). Oooh didn't know about the Christmas board - I'll go and have a look.
Yep pop in for a coffee anytime. (Bought it on BOGOF:rotfl:) Will be dropping into yours and Plannings in a while. Any chocolate biscuits??
Well today I have had some good news for a change. I am getting a bonus this month. :T:T I'm not sure how much yet but I'm soooo excited. I have also done a little overtime and waiting for a little cash to come back from premium bonds.
Done clicks and ordered a free energy saving lightbulb from the freebies site.
Still struggling with the sleep but used a relaxation cd last night which seemed to help.
Wishing it was this time tomorrow so that my meeting would be over!!
I still keep up with my diary/spending/to do thingy. I carry it everywhere with me and keep it by the side of the bed. (How sad is that!!) I am starting to get a little obsessive aswell !!
A question for you? How do you cross out your original amounts, I can't find it anywhere?
Off to brighten my signature up a bit xxxxThe past is over & done & cannot be changed. This is the only moment we can experience - Louise Hay"You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection."-- Buddha0 -
Hello,
Thought I'd pop in and read your diary and wish you luck!
I could really relate to the bit about the holiday and not wanting the kids to miss out on a bit of sun and all the other things! My eldest are at senior school and compare our lives with their friends and feel very hard done by!!. In fact, they do very well reallly- it's me and dh that miss out - the kids always come first! I've tried to talk Planning Ahead into the joys of camping but no joy
. You mentioned tesco clubcard points earlier - they do some holiday deals in their rewards scheme. Last year, we did splash out and took kids abroad for first time, but booked on internet and went early in season - cost just over £1000 all inclusive for week in Spain for 6 of us!!
Anyway, enough holiday talk - too depressing
I'll be following your debt-free journey with interest, hoping to pick up some hints!
By the way - you didn't know how to cross out the original amount in your signature, just highlight the bit you want crossed out then press the strike symbol (it's the s with the line through it), it looks a bit weird until you actually press save signature! hthProud to be dealing with my debts, light bulb moment: 2/1/2010, reviewed 7/1/20120
