its a bit weird this one,
i wrote requesting the final response last week as per previous post, along with my comments on the phone call,
today i recieved a covering letter with a copy of their final response supposedly sent out on the 11th March, (the first time i have seen this) and the same day the disc was finally sent out.
i'm a very patient person so will wait for the FOS to go the course and just accumulate interest at 8% along the way, i have calculated it is costing Lloyds approx £33 per month in interest now. so happy days!!
cheers, and of course i will keep all informedI'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free0 -

Lloyds all over that - I know!;)
Good for you then and it should all be worthwhile in the end I'm sure, it does seem a little weird doesn't it?The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
definately weird,
i know there were more calls also, so i think they are with holding info or distorting info.
its quite funny, the sales call took place on the 1st of the month, and the documents telesales completed are dated the 10th of the month, a very long time for a bank to send out a form to sign unless there were changes and discussions during the process. (the on-going discussions i was having about the LPI and wether i actually needed it)
anyway, i'm more than happy to wait and get an additional £33 per month for doing so.

Hi Andy
I am getting very wary of LLoyds, with us they sent the acceptance slips out before we received the review decision, believe it or not, I did get them to finally email me with the decision, which they normally would not email these details, and the copy of them only came through today, so you have made a good point with these.
Saying that I did get the CEO involved because they supposed to have reviewed the decision on the 18 Feb, was told the decision was posted on on that date, we were then told they would post by recorded delivery - oh and then told they could not post this way, and was given about 8 different dates, so that was why we contacted the CEO, it worked anyway.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
i am tempted to say they are still trying to miss-lead people when they claim. and falsify documents and letters and details to suit themselves.
but a bank would never do that!!!...............would they??
anyway as i mentioned, i'm happy to wait as long as it takes the FOS (a couple of years) afterall its another £33 per month in interest and this will grow in time as i continue to pay more premiums as i won't cancle the LPI policy because my monthly loan repayments will go up if i did.

As Marshallka said 8% is more than you would get in a savings account at the moment LOL:mad:0

hello,
i wonder of anyone can help, as this is the first time i have had to go to the FOS.
i know it will take a long time, but can anyone tell me how long it usually takes to aknowledge reciept of my complaint.
it now been nearly 3 weeks since sending it to them, once they have confirmed reciept i'll just forget about it untill i hear from them in the distant future.
There have been some developments with the phone recording,
after lsitening to it very carefully there are sections where it skips to answers to different questions that have not been asked, and missed the answers to questions they have asked. So Lloyds have not sent the full phone recording, more like an editied version, this happens in 3 places.
the telephone application form (from the SAR) confirms that the answers to the questions they have asked for were given but are no longer on the telephone conversation? i will of course highlight this to the FOS when i discuss my case.

Hi hope your well.
Normally between 3-4 weeks from what I can remember with the acknowledgement letter from the FOS. I would chase them up in this coming week to make sure here:
http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/contact/index.html
There is a freephone number on there as well, in case your put on hold maybe use that one.;)
Nothing surprises me at all with LLOYDS, you could contact the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) on this and see what they say, they may help and give some advice on this for you - hopefully.
http://www.ico.gov.uk/UnhandledException.aspx?aspxerrorpath=/layouts/data_protection.aspx
(just checked the ico website and it looks like its down at the moment, but I'm sure it should be sorted well in time for after the bank holiday if not before.
And it does help by highlighting this to the FOS, I expect they will realise as well as they listen.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
