You can get high definition widescreen crt tv's
Pedantic, can't see many being sold, the mass will not be CRTs.
Bottom line is that widescreens have smaller viewing than the same size CRT, so you will need a larger screen size if you want the same viewing size when upgrading, TVs or monitors.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
CRT sizing by convention always quoted the outside dimensions of the 'bottle', and not the viewing area.
Thus a 32" widescreen CRT TV would have a viewing diagonal of around 30" allowing for the thickness of the glass, same goes for computer monitors.
Flat screen TVs quote actual viewing diagonals a 37" widescreen LCD is 37".That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

I have stated as such several times in this thread.
Just because it is "convention" does not make it right,(things change with the passage of time), and should come under ASA, you would soon complain if you ordered a new car with 19" wheels and it came with 17" wheels.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
Derrick , on this forum we try to help people , you seem to want to argue - just lighten up.0
