D- I don't think it's sad that you want to upgrade -it's just that you've taken a long time to get there. I have a 36"crt I bought 2yrs ago - and it doesn't look big anymore!
Thing is, you will appreciate a bigger screen. Heck you could maybe try a big crt monitor for starters as they are so cheap.

True, and one acclimatizes to the bigger size soon enough ;)

I don't see the fact that "it's just that you've taken a long time to get there" has anything to do with anything, (you seem to want to belittle someone who does not have the inclination to keep up with the Jones's, well that is your problem and you will have to live with it), the CRT works just fine, but I have decided I now want a bigger screen, I am not on the computer that much,(I am permanently logged in to MSE and have it as my home page,so it may look like I am on the computer more than I actually am).

MY 37" TV is just fine, plenty big enough for us and a lot bigger than the 22" it replaced.

I did think about getting anther CRT monitor, but as I have decided to go bigger, I just think that the physical size will be to big, it does seem the be the consensus that CRT TVs are better,(picture), than the LCDs and Plasmas that are replacing them, maybe the same might be said of monitors?

Anyway, as I said in previous posts, if I don't like it I can return it.

Thanks for all the replies, but the post is now academic, as I have just phoned up to order it and it turns out they are out of stock and the product is no longer manufactured, and before anyone says I should have ordered earlier, I only received the catalogue with it in on Monday, and the last one was sold 10 days ago.The catalogue does state that "Offers valid until 12th February", but I suppose if they sell out then nothing I can do about it.

This previous link might come in use then ;)

    YOU ARE COMPLETELY WRONG!
    I offered you good advice
I have a rover diesel car not a Lexus
    I have a crt tv
Maybe a large crt is worth trying.

No advice at all from what I can see, just a "sad" attempt to be a troll with no input to the thread.

^Well, don't give up yet; there's plenty of choice available to you, and prices for 23/24" monitors are extremely competitive. Do take a look at the link in my previous post.

I have looked, but as I have previously said, " I am not keen on purchasing over the web", reasons being for any future problems dealing with some companies,(many outlined on this forum), at a distance.

I will keep looking, it is not desperate that I get one right away,I can manage,(as countless thousands of others will be doing), with the 15" CTR I have at the moment, will just wait for now.
