    Hi charleybabes,

If it's cooked on Saturday and kept in the fridge I'm sure it will be fine to use on Monday. My rule of thumb is three days max with cooked chicken.

As your thread has fallen down the Old Style board I've added it to the existing thread where you will be able to see other opinions.

probably a silly question, we roasted a chicken on sunday lunchtime, would it still be ok to heat up and use in a curry tonight or should we throw it? It looks ok, smells ok, possibly a little dry looking, will it be ok, dont want to make anyone ill

If it has been in the fridge I would have no problem eating it. I have eaten chicken described in the same way 5 days later. (properly stored in the fridge.)

    Hi 1jim,

Personally I'd use it, I follow the advice of using cooked meat up to 3 days after it has been cooked.

its fine until midnight apparently! seriously, if it looks ok, smells ok and tastes ok then making a curry with it should be OK too! I am sure I dont need to say to make sure it is thoroughly reheated.
