jcr16: your signature is lovely, I'm quite envious....
    Stop looking for answers....
The most you can hope for are clues.....:)
  • Its fine :) - I done it with chicken meat cooked (and chilled) for 5-6 days. If it starts to get a bit slimey on the meat then its out of the door :D

    Its fine..id use it.

My favourite use for cooked chicken is to put it in home made Paella...yummy...and a nice bottle of Rioja.

Incidentally,i recommend Sainsburys Paella rice. Its in a little sack like a bag of sugar with a mainly black wrapper.

Some other brands take an age to soften and absorb the juices.

Conveniently, there is a recipe on the side which you can scale up as it suits.

I tend to make a big batch and tupperware the rest for other meals.

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

Another one here who'd eat it perfectly happily. We were still eating left-over christmas turkey three days after christmas as cold meat straight out of the fridge. Cooking it way beyond that.
Wasn't there some kind of old saying about making a joint last all week - "Cooked on Sunday, Cold on Monday, minced on Tuesday etc" - and that was from the days before fridges! :D

I use the recipe from Economy Gastronomy - just about to go out, so I'll find it for you as soon as I'm back :)
