    Morning all!!

Been to the Docs this morning, she says I have IBS boooo! Have to have some blood tests to make sure its not Anemia (sp?) which it wont be as I only blood donated on Thursday and they do an iron test or Thiriod (sp?). My Mam suffers from IBS but her's is alot worse than mine. I have some Fibre Gel to take which sounds very appealing :rotfl:

WM on this morning, have some Gammon in the SC i'll make some wedges when I get in shouldn't take too long. Got Stew again for lunch, looking forward to that.

Dull and miserable in NCL today, snows nearly gone but its still chilly.

Haven't had time to read through the thread so I hope everyone is ok, HUGS to those who need them and enjoy your day:A
  • Morning all

Busy day at work, new group of kids starting next week with my colleague and we having an admin day, so lots of photocoping to do!

Snow is forecast from 3pm, few little flakes out there now. I walked in again today and the wind was so cold it hurt to breathe!! I'm meant to be meeting friends for dinner tonight but may cancel if the snow comes. Plus, to be honest, I've just started back on Slimming World so don't really want to go out for dinner! If I don't go for dinner I will have stirfry veg and tofu with egg noodles for tea.

OS wise, not much, I put the rubbish out today, and tidied kitchen. Just need to wash up dishes later.

    Have a good day all

Curry now for dinner, I have some cheese that needs using so wil be having cheese on toast for lunch instead, with worcester sauce, yum yum.

DD has school lunches a sI did give her packed lunches for a while....normally pasta with a home made tom sauce and cheese. Carrott sticks with a dip, grapes, crisps and a bottle of water( am lucky that she doesn't like fizzy drinks or squash), however she would eat very little of it and when she came home would devour a cooked dinner and then another 1 later on when OH came in.
Now she has school dinner, then after school a sandwich or some pasta and then a dinner later on (about 5ish).......she could eat for Wales!!!!

  • Ooh – lots of new people to say hello to! How exciting. I failed dismally to catch up on yesterday’s thread before posting on it so I shall respond to people now…
Lowesy – congratulations on the pregnancy! I’ve heard that coca-cola (full fat, gotta be the branded stuff I’m afraid) works wonders for nausea – in fact when I was in hospital the nurses gave me some and it worked a treat! Anyway, I know it’s not cheap but if it’ll calm your stomach and get you eating more easily then might be worth a try. Apparently it’s better flat so might be worth leaving a bottle open for a while. I also hope your bottom is OK…
Csarina – you can indeed still get porringers. My lovely dad and not-quite-step-mum bought me and OH a set of Judge saucepans for Christmas so we spent hours scouring the net for accessories – porringers included!
Hello to the FlyLady peeps. You haven’t been sent to spy on us, have you? I’ve been a bit slack with my flying lately… I am slightly confused as to the deal with the FlyLady thread now. What are we using it for (that’s the royal we, obviously. I haven’t posted since… um… a long time ago.)?
HariboJunkie. I agree wholeheartedly. Wingmirrors are severely overrated*.
Pipkin71 – small dog doesn’t necessarily mean little exercise I’m afraid! What about a greyhound? Very gentle and loving and they only need short bursts of exercise. Or perhaps you could get a few Husky dogs and get them to tow you…**
Everybody else – hugs if you need or want them, there’s plenty to go ‘round.
There’re rumours of more White Stuff on the way. I forbid it. I absolutely forbid it. So there.

Pasta bake for dinner tonight – I shall hide a portion for my lunch tomorrow so OH doesn’t get it. I did make a huge bowl of cous cous salad with chickpeas, red pepper, celery and spring onions in it though so could have some of that if need be.
Managed to walk puppy-dog to the park without his halti last night and he didn’t pull me over! Woohoo! Hopefully the start of more good heelwork. That reminds me, I must cancel some of his training sessions. He is double booked. Yes, the dog is double booked. My labrador has more of a social life than I do…
    G
*Disclaimer: Clearly I’m joking. Please don’t all go out and knock the wingmirrors off of your / your loved ones cars as they are very handy for seeing what’s behind you.
** clearly only in appropriate circumstances!

    Welcome to OS

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I work somewhere like that too :D *primes stapler*

I have stapled a student to the desk before - he was misbehaving - and I did warn him if he didn't sit down I'd have no option but to staple him to the table. He told me I wouldn't dare :D He behaved himself after that :o

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I was thinking more along the lines of stapling eyelids to chins and bottom lips to foreheads.....

God this place brings out the worst in me.

Talking of dogs, I have a ginger asbodog. He is 3 years old and a cross between a red setter and a springer spaniel. He is playing me up something chronic today and last night, but its not his fault. He didnt get a walk last night as little one was so poorly.

Hes also quite disobendient as he was never trained properly when he was a pup having spent most of his time with my 21 year old brother....

He is learning though. Slowly but surely. Hes not bad natured or destructive or particuarly naughty - but he just does lots of things he isnt supposed to and wont listen to a flipping word I say!!!

God I sound like a right flaming moan today!!! Whats the matter with me!!! Shut Up!!!!

  • Re the school dinners, I always had a healthy packed lunch as a kid (I am veggie and back then they didn't really cater for me!) but recently through work I experienced school dinners for the first time, as we did some work in a school. The dinner's were quite tasty, and all except one (curry) came with 2 portions of veg. But I was surprised that they had chips twice a week, and every meal came with dessert! Not very healthy in that respect.

We talk too much on the other thread. :D We are not here to spy dont worry :rotfl:

The flylady thread has suddenly got massively busy so there isnt room on the thread for all of the flying and all of the chat!!! So we have been promoted to the daily thread! :j

Feeling wealthy now as just sold DS's old highchair and steriliser and have the grand total of £17 in my pocket :j:j - won't last long but nice to have it for a bit.

Got typing to do, then lunch, then walk the dog. The day is going so quickly and I have to make a real effort not to just sit and chat on the computer.

Jo, I used to work in an office and regularly used to feel like inflicting damage on all the idiots who were there - never did though (or did I .....;))
