I do this recipe too, from BBC Good food, haven't tried putting it in the slow cooker yet though. We love it with fluffy mash, carrots and green beans.

Can I get away with bunging a couple of chicken breasts, a tin of sweetcorn and a tin of condensed chicken soup in the slow cooker and coming home to a yummy meal that just needs to be served with veg??

Should work fine, my sister lives in the USA and has given me a couple of American cookery books and there are loads of recipes that use condensed soup as a base sauce.

Great stuff, realised didnt have sweetcorn so have done chicken breasts on a bed of new potatoes then smothered the lot in condensed soup. Its now waiting patiently in the fridge ready to be put on in the morning :)
  • Anyone have a Chickpea curry recipe? Would you soak dried chickpeas or just bung them in?
