Hi I have been hearing a few people mentioning "Pet Mince" could you tell me what this is and if its available at most butchers. At our local market its advertised as chicken pet mince. Its probably all beaks and feet lol you never know but it looks like minced chicken and is in a small bag £1 for 4.
You could ask at your local market and see if any of the butchers do it but any value mince at a supermarket will do if you can`t find any. Maybe a mug and a half for a slowcooker full of petfood when mixed with the other ingredients.

Today I have in mine.....
Lamb mince, browned off
Onions & garlic browned off
tin of chopped tomatoes
some homemade lamb stock
couple of lamb gravy cubes
will make a shepherds pie later with it
Didnt put veg in at this stage as DD8 has an aversion to veg!!0 -
Today I have Lamb and Vegetable curry for lunchtime
Leftover lamb from Sunday
1 large carrot
1 onion
3 small potatoes (that were sprouting)
Curry powder
Vegetable stock cube
Water
Squeeze of lemon juice
Black pepper
I`ve cooked this loads of times but usually in the pressure cooker or on the hob. Thought I`d give the slower cooker a chance today.0 -
today i have pork casserole cooking, havent browned anything just chucked it all in and put it on low. will serve it with mashI will lose 2 stone by this summer!!!!!!0

Yesterday had a smoked gammon joint in apple juice, a couple of carrots, onions, and celery stalks, Took out the cooked ham, and put various lentils and pearl barley in the stock to make soup.0

Dog food in mine overnight last night, i only used the small sc though as i`d not enough dry ingredients to fill the large one.
When i`ve been shopping i shall make some more.
