we just had Split pea and Lentil curry and served it with rice and naan. amazingly cheap meal and enough for at least another. Was delish:D.Grocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)

A mix of mince, onions, mushrooms, peas and carrots in mine today. On afternoon shift so hubby will have some tonight and hopefully there will be some left for me tom to have with some mash Yum yum.
Really interested in learning how to make other foods in the slow cooker - off to search for ideas x0 -

Am about to prep some sweet and sour sauce to put with the diced turkey i got reduced in the coop tonight ready to go in sc tomorrow for tea will be serving with egg noodles that were reduced in asda to 10p.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

I've just bunged some onions, leeks, carrots, two pig's trotters and two Bay leaves in mine. Going to switch it on in the morning and see what it's like when I get home
Any tips appreciated as I've never done pig's trotters before.0 -
sorry underworld, no tips from me as I don't really fancy pigs trotters if I'm honest
However my casserole was a success as my DS announced it was the best thing to come out of my sc!!Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker0 -
Rice pudding today, DS has been ill for a few days so thought it would be nice and easy for him to eat. Plus DH will scoff a bowlful when he gets in after footy
