    hi ratrace,

yep that is fine. the temperature that they get to (usually 80-90c) will kill 99.9% of bacteria. Don't put frozen chicken in though.

Well one of my NY resolutions is to use the SC as often as possible (several times a week) so today I have veg soup which I put in last night. It's all getting blended so no problem if too mushy. Potato, onion, celery (yuk but will see how turns out), carrott and stock (and season). Will add flour/milk tonight and blend. Fingers crossed.

  • I got a slow cooker for Christmas. Got up a bit earlier than I needed to today and prepared a chicken adobo - a Filipino dish with chicken, stock, soy sauce and some other bits. It's been cooking all day so am going to boil up some rice when the boyfriend arrives and eat it!
Fed up of paying off someone else's mortgage so saving for a deposit for my own home :D

    As of 20/07/2015: £35000 / £35000 :T :T :j

Now saving for stamp duty and furniture

  • It's not in just yet but soon will be and then left on low all night. Turkey broth using the stock from the boiled carcass and leftover bits of meat from the Xmas turkey (just defrosting) together with assorted lentils, pearl barley & split peas and lots of veg. Mr TA's favourite comfort food!
