Oh my those Indian themed meals look delicious! Yum
My slow cooker is slogging away with mince beef and loads of veggies.
The mince was extra lean and the last time I did it on the hob it was pretty tasteless and a bit tough. My slow cooker will infuse it with flavour and make it tender.0 -
Hello all.
Could some kind slow cook expert please tell me how you make your Spag Bol and chilli in the SC?
Does it turn out thick and tomatoey, or do you have to thicken it up after cooking?
Thanks so much. Am getting a SC (asked for pressie) so i am a novice. It is a Morphy Richards 3.5L and the dish can be used on the hob to brown the meat etc.
Thanks so much. Love the thread. But it makes me SOOOO hungry!0 -
A joint of top-side brisket costing £5.32 from our local monthly Farmers Market bought yesterday.
Put straight into slow cooker,no liquid added. Cooked on LOW for 6 x hours, and carved like a hot knife through butter. Very tasty, the cheaper cuts of meats are tastier, but need longer to cook, making them very slowcooker friendly !!!keep smiling,

Couldn't get back to sleep after being disturbed by work at 1:30 so beef stew in the slow cooker at 4am chucked dumplings in at 4pm for an hour absolutely superb on such a miserable day2014 20p savers club #2 I've given up trying to keep track of how much that pig eats!
2014 £2 savers club #3 - I've no idea, but the pig is beginning to get mighty heavy

I've bought my first brisket joint ready to try tomorrow in the SC - do I leave the strings attached or do I cut them off before cooking?0
