Lasagne in mine tonight. I've cheated with a jar of bolognaise sauce but made my own white sauce. Gosh, its a good job I put it in & was around all day as it cooked a lot quicker than I thought it would (had it on low was done in 4hours so had to turn it down to warm), if Id left it in whilst out I think I would have come back to burnt cardboard! Lol!:(. Only new to this slowcooker cooking & had mine a couple of weeks so still finding out how long dishes take in my particular cooker. Think I m going to do a chicken dish tomorrow, I have been looking up recipes & found three nice ones, chicken in fanta, cola or cream chicken & dumplings!:)x

Have you got a recipe for the lasagne? I can't imagine how that would work in a slow cooker lol

If you google 'Lasagne in the slow cooker recipe' it brings up many different ones but like I say I cheated with jar of bolognaise. Mince in bottom, 2 layers of pasta sheets, white sauce then repeat & top with cheese.Check out the facebook site 'slowcooker recipe page' also for some fab recipes.

Have treated myself to a dual slow cooker from eBay seller, and it is fab. Eldest dd has moved back home, and she is vegetarian, so this is ideal. - turkey curry in one part for myself and dd3, and veggie version in other half for dd1

If you have facelook the recipe is on here, basically I sauted the onions and garlic, browned the mince and chucked it all in the slowcooker, layering with lasagne sheets, made a bechamel sauce and put on low for a couple of hours... lush, the best lasagne i have ever had. This week I made spag bol the day before so just used the left overs to make the lasagne by adding the pasta sheets and a bechamel sauce:T

Slow cooker lasagna rocks, made one yesterday for the first time, pasta was tender not soggy
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.
  • I have a Hairy Biker's mince and dumpling recipe in mine...they don't use a slow cooker, but it's a kind of bolognaisey type recipe so I don't see why it won't slow cook...and will add the dumplings towards the end.
Never done dumplings in a slow cooker...so not sure how long they will need...guessing 45mins to an hour.
    It certainly smells nice!

I am finding that page realllly hard to navigate and can't for the life of me find the lasagne recipe! Where do I look? have been through the photo album, but can't see a photo of anything that looks like lagagne..would love to make it as it's so well recommended.
