  • Beef and Ale stew in mine today, I enough for dinner tonight with left over potatoes from yesterday and planned to make a pie with the rest only OH as been helping himself. So I'm thinking I may just fry some bacon lardon and mushroom to add to the mix, as I forgot to put the mushroom in this morning :o so that I can still make the pie.

I use the juice from the slowcooker to make soup after cooking a chicken I just leave it to go cold and take off the fat.

    Hi
Is it right that to make a gammon in cola that you add 2lts of cola to it. How long should I leave it to cook for on high.
    Thank you.

mine was a small piece, half of the £10 asda joint.

I only used a 330ml can, and it was in on high for about 4 hours.

Whilst in my local big Tesco on Sunday, noticed they had their own brand large slow cookers reduced to 8 pounds, I have a small crockpot. Wondering now whether to go back and get one as might be useful when cooking for the freezer as well, are they any good.
Do I need it or just want it.
  • Found some sprouting carrots in the fridge this morning, googled carrot soup, found a nice spiced carrot and lentil one that also had directions for using a slow cooker. So it's soup and 5 minute a day bread for dinner.

I have one and it's probably the best slo cooker I've ever had - the thermostat seems to be set just right

Lost my internet connection earlier, just as I was about post a reply, its the one that I use and it's been often used...and at that price, a bargain.
