Sounds delicious - let us know how it turns out and what are you having with it?

Nothing today in my SC they are having a well deserved day's rest. Loads of cold stuff in the fridge.

It looks and smells lovely- half is for the freezer and the other half is for tomorrow night. I'll probably have it with rice and veg. (I read a good tip on a foody site that you should try and leave SC meals overnight in the fridge before you eat them- they definitely improve in taste that way.)

Leaving it in the fridge - good tip - and I agree the flavour seems to mellow. Also, you can get rid of the fat that settles on the top.
I need to get rid of the fat that settles around my middle - don't think an overnight stay in the fridge would help!!!

    In my SC today is...

    6 frozen quorn sausages
    2 cans baked beans
    1 can tomatoes
    1 beef oxo
    paprika and pepper

I'm doing slimming world and all of that is free on EE plan :)

I will have it with a mound of petits pois and maybe some rice.

To be truely EE you need to have a third of your plate filled with superfree veg - and unfortunately peas don't count! (I know - i love 'em too!)

And Quorn sausages now have syns in!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...

Got sweet chilli sausages in mine, cant remember if i got it from here or not.

Anyway brown off sausages, mix honey, chiilli powder and ketchup together, cut some carrots into batons and chuck all in slow cooker, will have this with egg fried rice, eggs need using up. and carrot, broccoli and green beans that i have steamed and had for lunch.

If this is your receipe out there it is FAB! and i am in no way trying to take credit for making it up, just can't remember who i got it from and where.

This is one of mine :D Glad you like it. It is on my menu plan for next week. Might change it for this week now :rotfl:

Any chance of the measurements for this? Sounds delish!

    Here we go :D

Make a sauce from 8 tblsp tomato ketchup, 4 tblsp honey, 4 tsp chilli powder, 2 cloves garlic, 2 tblsp water.

Brown six-eight sausages and chop into 3rds (I find I can get away with giving them less if the have chunks.) Cut some carrots into battens.

Bung it all together in the SC

    Put it on low.

hahaha as my title say's finally I can post on here because...........

    In my SC today is...........

    A full chicken
Thick cut Veg, Carrots, Mushrooms, Leek, Turnip/Swede (I get them confused the Yellow one), Onion and about 1/2 Pint of Chicken Stock with Mixed Herbs, Garlic Salt & Pepper.

This is the 1st time I am trying a whole chicken and the 1st time I am trying to leave my SC on all day whilst at work *Bites Nails*

I figued I could make Chicken brests and Rice for tea tonight, I could make the Veg and stock into a soup for work tomorrow and them maybe a curry or something with the rest of the chicken?

I~ have just reserved a blender as I realised I don't have one and I think that would be good to blend the veg to make a smooth soup rather than a chunky winter type.

I do hope I don't burn down the house hahaha

In mine is dried onions and tomatoes (courtesy of the garden last year - i dehydrated them) half a fresh onion that was withering in the fridge, couple of ancient leeks and some frozen peppers. I`ve added some chiilies (again from the garden) and some garlic.

Later tonight i`ll add the mince and a tin of toms and then turn it on to cook a chilli overnight.

ROWSWE thats awful how on earth did it happen?

I really have no idea, I can only assume there was a fault in the glass lid somewhere. Wilkinsons Customer Service was ace though, I'd only had that one a month, since the previous Crockpot Disaster :D, the lady refunded my payment thru Paypal whilst on the phone, and sent me a voucher for a fiver to cover the cost of my ruined ham. I found the lid from the old one up in the shed, and it fits the pot very nicely, so today I am trying a ham Again. Which will be left to cool and then very thinly sliced for the weeks sarnies. And a big packet for the freezer hopefully if I can get it done before the OH gets back from work and starts picking!
