Harvested my beetroot pon Friday and instead of boiling them I cooked them in my SC on low for 6hrs (added two glases of water). They are delish and much less messy than boiling as I always get pink spots on the tiles and cooker to clean up after boiling them. Can not see me ever boiling them again.I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order

spag bol in mine with carrots/courgettes/mushrooms to bulk out, added a bit too much fluid so need to start reducing the fluid amounts on the next attempts0

Hi - I'm a lurker on this thread but have loved cooking so much with my slow cooker since my baby was born and I'm now back at owrk full time I thought I'd better start sharing some recipes
I've never made this before but looks like it will be perfect slow cooked, I will be preparing it tonight and putting it on in the morning before work
It's actually a Good Food recipe called Braised Pork witb Plums - a sort of chinese braised pork shoulder dish with plums, looks like it will be delish - it's got all sorts of lovely ingredients in it and I'm making enough for 8 so we have lots left to freexe so I'll let you know tomorrow how it works out!
