  • First time of using mine today, i've cut up all my sad old veg which would have got chucked otherwise (carrots, parsnips, swede, potatoes and onions) with veg stock, salt, pepper and mixed herbs - hopefully it will turn out ok! i will blend it later today and add seasoning if it needs it!

Ooo - hello lucylema - just posted on your "brisket" thread. Nice to meet you again.

I am making "Natal Curry" - red kidney bean curry from Madhur Jaffreys book. Doing SW and got a mob in for dinner tonight so need something that can be cheap and not look like "diet food"

Guests will be having it with HM nan and raitha and pickle as well as rice.

Two boned and rolled Lamb breasts on a bed of onions with a splash of Madeira (the Madeira wasn't in the recipe, but what the heck?)
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

you know, I did consider that and for some reason talked myself out of it. We are on holiday and the minute and have brought it with us (I know thats a little sad) but so far is proving to be a very good idea, great after a day on the beach

I too have ended up with too-watery soups in the SC.It's frustrating!

My tofu and veg dish in tomato sauce is lovely.I had it with rice. There's enough for a few meals,so that lunch taken care off for a few days.

Really pleased as I've never been very successful with tofu.:)
