Ohh the gammon sounds lovely, can you tell me what you did and how long and whether you cooked it on low or high?
Thank you.0 -
The gammon in cola sounds lovely and I'm going to try it this week (have a bottle of Coke hidden from the kids for this very thing). My gammon steaks with fresh pineapple tasted great but I overdid it with the liquid. I added butter to each steak and combined with the cream, it left a huge amount of greasy residue. Didn't spoil the taste of the gammon, which melted in the mouth but next time I don't think I'll add any liquid at all. Today I have two lamb shanks in my SC which I just marinaded in herbs and lemon. Expecting great results.0

My SC is doing pork with peppers today ie pork pieces, sliced peppers and onion, a tin of tomatoes and some garlic. My friend cooks this all the time and I could never understand why it didn't turn out the same for me - didn't know about her secret weapon - the slow cooker! Will be served with rice and garlic bread.0

I've got sliced chicken breast, slightly over sweetcorn, onion and left over boiled potatoes in mine with a spanish chicken chicken tonight. The jar isn't old school but it was in the cupboard! Made some chicken stock yesterday from my left over chicken carcass, bacon, onions and a few ancient carrots that I will use in a moroccan chicken recipe tomorrow.HSBC Visa-High interest-£2349.23 Nat West £2605.18
