Does anyone know when you use tinned kidney bins in a slow cooker, if your meant to drain them, or add the whole tin with the liquid stuff as well?
I've only really made stew in my slow cooker and I'm confused! I thought I'd try making a chilli today, opened the kidney bins and now I'm stuck!I'm a money wasting expert.

I always drain and rinse tinned beans. Some have salt/sugar added, I'd rather get rid of it! Also sometimes it's really gucky at the bottom of the tin.
I've got chunky pork chilli in mine, with the 1/2 price pork L!dl had at the weekend:)0 -

I have a joint of pork defrosting for tomorrow. We had bbq pork mince earlier in the week which was yummy, does anyone have a different recipe? I always thought you had to cook joints in liquid in a slow cooker? I have so much to learn :rotfl:GC 2023 June £72/500 NSDs 1/100
