He, he, having a little laugh at DH's expense, he was sat next to me chewing away at the Bouquet Garni that I forgot to take out :rotfl:
Also added half a teaspoon of chilli flakes and it added a lovely winter warmth.
Still tickled over DH's experience though, bless him he still had second portions though!!

plus am going to try out the rice cooker for the first time tonight!!
the curry was rubbish, just tasted really bland and kinda watery.
Might have been the jar i used, but i think it was because the sauce wasnt reduced/burnt off like it would have been in a panBarclays: 3900/4200

15mls Olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
225g basmati rice
1 red pepper, chopped
175g toasted nuts ( a mixture of pine nut, flaked almonds, walnuts
50 g raisins or chopped dried apricot
300mls vegetable stock
1 tsp ground mixed spice
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Heat the oil in a large saucepan and cook the onion for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally without browning.
Add the rice and cook for 2 minutes, stirring.
Stir in the remaining ingredients, seasoning lightly with salt and pepper. Transfer to the slow cooker.
Cook for 5-7 hours
I add the nuts in the last hour because I don't like the nuts too soft.GC 2011 Feb £626.89/£450 NSD3/7 March £531.26/£450 April £495.99/£500 NSD 0/7 May £502.79/£500

Peeled, chopped and roasted a butternut squash.
1 stick celery finely chopped
1 onion chopped
1 leek finely sliced (happened to be lurking in the veg basket)
