  • Nothing in mine today, I've just taken out the lovely broth that cooked overnight. Bit strange waking up to savoury cooking smells, but looking forward to lunchtime now!

Today my SC made a lovely meatloaf with hidden boiled eggs in it. It was a change of plan as initially I meant to make a large quantity of bolognese for a lasagna. It worked out very well as we had an incredibly busy day, and we'll have another one of those tomorrow, so the other half of the meatloaf is tomorrow's cold supper already made. I do love my SC.
sounds lovely, could you please tell me how to make meatloaf in the SC,thankyou.

In my slow cooker today is a chilli con carne for tonights dinner (and several more portions for the freezer!), using mince/red lentils/tinned kidney beans/tinned tomatoes/onions/mushrooms/red and orange peppers that were lurking in the fridge/grated carrots/chilli power/garlic/cumin and whatever else I threw in!
  • This may have been asked before, but does anyone stew fruit in their SC? I have a load of reduced (sorry, 'whoopsied' ;) ) nectarines that are a bit manky to eat but might make a nice crumble. I guess I'd need a decent amount of water in - but would I need to add sugar/anything else? They are quite hard.
  • over night was a smoked gammon ham, today i made a ham and leek soup with the stock, a little ham, few potatoes, 3 leeks, 1 onion and a handful of lentils, i have just had some for dinner it was very very yummy :)
One day I will live in a cabin in the woods

I wouldn't put in a lot of water because you don't get steam in a SC so it would be too sloppy for crumble :)
