Don't know what the maximum is, but I have transfered £7,000 if that helps you?"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

The information taken below is buried within the bowels of the Lloyds TSB 'Help 'section and is consequently extremely hard to find.
Taken on 28.7.2010 at 09:48hrs:You asked us:
"payment limits"
Our answer is:
You can move up to £1,000,000.00 between your Lloyds TSB accounts in each single transfer via Internet Banking (or £50,000 for Business Customers). The limit for individual payments is £20,000 per transaction and £9,999.99 for new or amended standing orders.
You can make payments up to a limit of £20,000 per working day from each of your accounts using Internet Banking. This total amount can be a combination of the following:
- Bill payments
- Payments to individuals
- New standing orders
- Travel money
- The value of any increase in a standing order
Please note that clicking on any of the above links will open another window. PhoneBank® is a registered trademark of Lloyds TSB Bank plc.
NB. The above was taken from the Help advisory window section URL at:
http://lloydstsb.creativevirtual.com/LloydsTSB/bot.htm
However, the above information answer is in slight conflict with what was found below and which also concerns Transaction Limits:
eg, When logged in and looking at your account:
Move from the ‘Statement’ to the ‘Payments’ tab
Click on ‘Make a Payment’
Now click on Help & Support to open up the section entitled
- What are my online payment limits?
The limit for new or amended standing orders is £9,999.99. For individual transactions, you can pay up to £9,999.99. And you can pay up to £20,000 a day from your accounts using Internet Banking.
For a series of transactions it might be worth considering using the Standing Order facility. However, there is no facility within this to set up 'Daily' standing orders. The minimum gap is 'Weekly'.0 -

Hello, I have a qeury. I have 2 Vantage accounts currently. Account 1 contains 8k and account 2 contains 7k. I transfer 1k back and forth every month to satisfy the 1k pay in limits.
My question is this:
By having 8k at any one time in each account goes over the 7k upper boundary. Will I receive 4% on my 14k and minimal on the remaining 1k or zero interest on the whole 15k as went over the upper boundary.
Otherwise would I need 7k and 6k and toss the extra 1k between, thus only gaining interest on 13k but never breaking the 7k on either?
Last option would be just to get 3 accounts with 5k and find an extra 1k to do the juggling with, which I could do...0 -
