How long from opening on-line does it take to show. I did another Monday, still nothing to say I've done it at all?
I just did one yesterday online and at the end there was a form (PDF) already completed but my printer is bust. I phoned and they said contact us again Thurs or Friday to check how far it has got and the form did not need to be sent off. This was for the Classic a/c. Quite frankly I think it's a very messy web site and I am now wondering why people are going to so much trouble for 0.5% extra than some other accounts.0 -
Cant understand how anyone gets more than 3. I had to go into the bank for my third and the manager said that if my OH wanted any he would have to go in to see him, couldnt do it online.
Im just wondering whether the people with more than 3 may get an comeuppance of any sort as its against the t and cs?0 -
I dont know either. Clearly they don't do very good checks - or maybe they do and see how you are using the others. As/when they do work it out it will be on to the next loophole or maybe a savings account if rates have risen by then. The worst they can do is close the account down.0

can't find the option to upgrade to vantage online anywhere!
If I click on the 'upgrade' link it just says:
Sorry, but we can't offer you this product right now. Please call us on 0845 3 000 000 if you'd like to speak to someone about this.
then lists all the different accounts (platinum, gold, silver, classic) to compare.
tried going to the 'apply online' link but still can't find any way to upgrade to vantage.
do I have to do it the old fashioned way by phone?0 -
Went to pay in some cheques the other day at a Lloyds near to work. I already have 3 Vantage accounts maxed out at £7K. They asked if I wanted anything else and I said I'd like another account but thought there was a 3 limit and they didn't know over the counter so referred me to the advisor. Went and saw him and he asked me what I wanted and I said another Vantage but thought there was a limit of 3. He did the application on line and hey presto, immediately I had a 4th showing on my account. He didn't think there was any limit. I even got to keep it with the same sort code as my original accounts rather than this branch that was closer to work. If I had more to put in I'd try to open another one.
He couldn't understand why more people don't use it as a savings account. He even offered to set up the Standing Orders for me there and then, but I said I'd rather move the money myself online each month.
Always hated talking to "advisors" in a bank as they (in my experience) are generally v badly informed and can only harp on about how wonderful their products are, but this was a very pleasant and quick experience.0 -
Cant make it out at all. The guy at my bank was adament that each customer is limited to 3 accounts (including any shared account). They certainly need to sort out their act.0

Well I only found this thread last week.
I opened an account with lloyds a little time back to take advantage of their 8% 2 year regular saver for my wife and myself.
I kept the classic account open and added vantage in march,I was totally unaware I could open 3 accounts untill I found this thread.
So thanks to all posters here,I now have 3 accounts maxed out,and will enquire at my local branch to find out if I can open more.

You are probably quite right if the limit IS three and he let you open a fourth.0 -
The T&C say you can have a maximum 3 accounts with Vantage:Vantage gives you the benefit of higher interest rates on your current account if you comply with the Vantage conditions. You can have a maximum of 3 accounts with Vantage.0
