I've done it horrraaay :T, I've opened 2 vantage accounts with Lloyds I have not got enough money to open a 3rd one but 2 is good enough for me. I have my £1,000 going from my A&L (I might ditch these soon as it's got a rubbish rate) to vantage 1 then to Vantage 2 then back to my A&L all on the same day.
Thank you to everyone who has written on this thread I found it very, very helpfull.
Now where should I change my current account to, any ideas??

I would ditch A+L and switch to LTSB ......... with Vantage.

i would be surprised if £1k left your A+L account and credited in your Lloyds account the same day as their faster payment limit is £250 and at the moment any faster payments seem to have halted from A+L
  • I have 2 vantage accounts. Opened a new current a/c last week with a view of upgrading it to vantage. Got a letter in the post saying that i already current a/c with them, so need to go to the branch to complete it!? Anyone had experiences like that>?

I think you'll find lots of posts on the LTSB Vantage threads say they have experienced the same thing.

Yes same thing happened when I tried to open my second and third accounts online.
I just left it a week or so and tried again online. The application was successful on the second attempt .

My GF opened 3 in the branch and they said that was the limit, I opened 1 online and they wont let me open any others online, says I have to go into a branch.

One more question, re the monthly minimum payment (£1000 I think), is it OK to do this via the online standing order system, so that for the GF she just moved 1k form AC1 to AC2 and 1k from AC2 to AC3 and 1k from AC3 to AC1? are they happy with that?

    Thanks

Have I missed something here? I thought the deal was 4%, not a fixed amount per month like Halifax. So moving your money would be pointless as it'll still only earn 4% overall.

Yes, that is the deal, but to qualify you do have to pay in at least £1k per month.
