Hiya - no flying here I'm afraid! I managed to slip on black ice this morning and landed on my knees. I thought the wet patch on my trousers was melted snow until a lovely elderly gentleman told me my shoe had gone red! Bless him, he took me to hospital where I've been stitched up and then bought me home. Three hours he waited with me. DH is on way back from Hull so he's going to buy a nice box of chocolates and some flowers for the gentleman and his wife!

Just read this page and not sure what happened but see AnW'smum's had a fall too - massive hugs.

Take care out there - it's lethal! xx

He should have popped in for a coffee.. next time come with him!!!
Lovely of the chappy to come rescue you, damsel in distress! lol..
    Hope it heals quickly

pigpen - thanks...when I googled it said homeopathic arnica tablets are fine but not the cream. I know I'm not necessarily pg I just don't want to take any chances!

knew they were :p... Don't even ask how many times I fell down the stairs when pg with my brood.. I get really lightheaded/dizzy and tend to be worse on stairs and escalators and fall a fair bit.

TBH stuff either has to be rather toxic or huge quantities to affect a feotus anyway, it is just most stuff isn't licensed for use in pregnancy even though it is more than likely absolutely fine because pregnant women tend not to take part in clinical trials!

Hi everyone, I am not hiding honest just managed to get DP to actually do something this afternoon (meeting this morning) so made the most of it. He's got through the full day (from 8.40am) without going back to sleep for the first time in over a week. 4 pictures now up, we now have pictures of the boys on the walls, we never got to that stage in the last house as a) never felt like our home b) didn't want to make a mess of the walls. No more snow here yet phew, just wish the ice would go! It's terrible when it's safer to walk on the roads than the path to collect child from school.

melspur, I agree bribe...it's about the only way. I tend to find chewing on a few chewy toffee helps as they are too busy chewing.
    AnW'sMum hope you are ok
nuttyrockeress, making extra meals when making one ( for example I never make one lasagne, always 3/4 or so for freezer) can really help, slow cookers are great too but I bought a huge one so I can batch cook in there too, you can also roast say a joint of beef then pre slice ready to add to veg....well actually I freeze mash after making it in batches. When you want to get something done, try timing how long it takes you to do little tasks. It's amazing how little time it can take for example to throw 20 things in a bin bag or vacuum a room or 2.
rach hope the bruising improves, whatever method you try
SarahS nice to hear from you, hope the job is going well, good luck with the extension.
poohbear, no idea why she'd say to wait but red spots, cold water, same with human blood, asap! I learned this from a Mum of 10 when we were away in the caravan as she ran off with my cream cushion when DS1 had a nose bleed. Just incase check her paws and other places incase it's not a season.
Mudbath youch!! Hope it's not too painful and lovely gesture for the man who took you, what a star he was.
MissH I thought you were on about a pair of knickers for a minute there :o
    JillD I do like that!

    Ok flying from me

28 bags of recycling and rubbish out for binmen from garage (hopefully for collection after 4 weeks  )
Instructed DP where to put some of the frames
Filled many more bags of recycling/rubbish to go out
Bought pet food and bits I needed while out
Animals all fed/watered/cleaned, awkward miss I won't eat told off for being a pest
Steak and chips prepared for tea
3 necessary letters sent (been there ages)
Cleaned bathroom ...list done as DP keeping desk clean/tidy in our room and I did bathroom
Decluttered some of kitchen, still WIP
DW filled, emptied and refilled (will empty once it bleeps)
Cooker cleaned within an inch of it's existance (I must spend less time on it but I love it so much and so pleased to be using it again :o saddo alert)
    Stack of paperwork dealt with
Poo loads of dry laundry folded
2 washer loads done.....will put another on soon...trying to reduce my TD usage....hmmm
Car tax for DPs car ordered, SORN done for unused car

More than I thought actually

Can I please have my second star :D I'll try my best to get kitchen finished tonight as these steaks will take ages to cook I can do it at same time
One day I might be more organised...........
