  • Not sure if I have already posted this - I looked but couldnt see it....

ladyL (((hugs))) I hope you are not toooooo lonely without DS - I am sure he will be home for some TLC asap. xx
boddy I hope Mum's review went ok - any word from the police re the thefts?
jinky of course you can substitute boxes if you havent enough for binning etc - are you still trying to find homes for your stuff in the boxes or have you just not been in the mood to do them? Whats the word about work - you havent mentioned it for a while ?
Valli have you got your lappy working? I am very lucky - I went to Comet and they told me my insurance doesnt run out until september so will be able to get lappy fixed - will get it handed in next week.
Triker well done with the continued de-cluttering - I know what you mean about constantly moving stuff - I used to have to do that but now its all in one place and I am working on reducing it. How are you feeling honey? and how is work?
LameWolf you are doing extremely well with your lists but please be careful to not overdo it - I expect you know your limitations but we sometimes get carried away (well I know I do!!) I think we all just need a bit of structure in our lives and the lists give us that.
rach Congratulations to Dh thats brilliant news :Tand if my memory serves me right he wasnt very happy about it - but hey we knew he was clever and would pass.
Ragz your posts are making me smile at your nesting and cleaning - i think its lovely - be careful though honey xx all this cleaning and tidying will be a great help when baby comes as you will have no time then:rotfl:
Sunnygirl loads of hugs for you all - it is testament to your excellent care that she lasted i think - its nice to know she was so well cared for at the end after all the unhappiness she had had.
lil_me thank goodness you finally got the bill sorted £6.40 is acceptable!!!
soappie I love the idea of the mannners brigade!!! You cannot get a seat on our buses at school times and they dont give up for anyone.
Dorastar do what you want - thats what my friend did for her 50th - she was having a party and there was a box for you to put donations into and she made it up to £500 and gave it to the children's hospice near here. She too felt that she had enough 'stuff' and wanted to do something better with the money.
jinky re DDD are you still paying her for doing her room so she can go to a concert or is that past - could you do something similar? ETA just read your post re the lappy - I think you need to do that every week until she gets to grips with her room - someone does that with their son - I think its Holly? and it seems to work for her really well.
Valli well i am glad he was nice and it was enjoyable - he may just be playing it cool - would you like to see him again? And your idea about the backing up is excellent - I remember when i first started on the thread someone lost everything when their pc crashed or something and they were kicking themselves for not doing back up discs - we all said then that we would start doing it - have we? I doubt it (well I know I have had it on my personal 80 list to do since last year:rolleyes:) Well done to you for helping DD with her maths and its even better if she can work them out manually although its not usually quick enough for exams - I think children should use their brains more than calculators - it obvious in some shops when assistants cant give you correct change unless the till tells them what it is:rolleyes: Well done on the parking ticket.:T
mudbath I hope your knee is getting easier everyday (((hugs))) you are right to be doing things - you do need to keep it moving to stop it stiffening but be careful wont you. xx
carol I hope your emails are behaving - thanks for wondering about me - you should know your Aunty will be lurking somewhere:rotfl:
rosepink you are always having to move stuff from A to B - maybe you should have a complete week of clearing ALL the rubbish so that cleaning would be easier - and finding permanent places to put stuff - I love Valli's signature DONT PUT IT DOWN PUT IT AWAY.
Pollybear hugs and stronger legs vibes to old doggy.
xxJoxx :T:Twell done for decluttering the toys etc and starting the London fund - say Hi to LO for me - has he enjoyed the snow? and WTG with the boxfiles and sorting the paperwork - this will make moving so much easier.
pooh nice to see that DH is helping you catch up now that the visitors have gone. have fun spending your vouchers. I hope you get the tax fankle sorted:eek:
cally_c well down volunteering for the parachute jump - you got guts lady!!!:rotfl:
MrsChaos Well done to your DS1 - thats excellent!
cyclingyorkie goodluck with the O this week - hope it goes ok
skipsmum (((hugs))) what a plateful you have had this week - I hope both the boys have a better week and you get some much needed slep to help you cope. Dont be stressing about the house it will still be there next week - your family are far more important.
G&B :T:T:T:T:T:T another clever person passing exams - thats excellent results COngratulations !!!!
melspur thats good that LO is drinking - I hope that he is improving all the time
procrastinator hope you have a great time down under
fedup you stay strong and tell him what you think - we will be behind you
soappie the sniffles and the swollen eyes do sound like an allergy
hex I will try again to get your stats up to date - it has been on my mind funnily enough!!!
thank you Aunty Crafty I am still here clogging up the place - the preverbial bad penny!!! BTW I am glad you got back out to your class - its nice to get something enjoyable and relaxing to do
greenbee I know you probably wont take any notice but I am going to post this anyway - I was on a self employed course many years ago and one of the things they taught us was that even though you are working from home you should still act professionally - get up and get dressed as if you had to go into an office and you will find you are more productive - be disciplined - if you dont get dressed or mooch around in scruffy comfy clothes then that is the way you will work - you are far more likely to achieve much more and to come across professional on the phone if you are dressed tidily. Like I said I dont expect you to listen but I found it was very true - for me anyway!
kazw lovely to see you back again - cant believe I missed your birthday - I did know when it was too - hope you had a lovely day.xx
juliejim thats brilliant - well done you - i am sure you will find it easier to keep on top of it now :T:T
leed dont be hard on yourself - everybit helps and the bits you have done will hopefully be easier next week so you can add something new - i think you have done well :T
Quillion congratulations to your friend - hope they havent been buying lots of blue things!!!!
smartie12 thats lovely news pet - congratulations - but you had better be very careful - maybe that bleed was a warning - take it steady now you hear?
grateful well done for keeping the ironing basket empty

hugs to everyone and especially the poorlies

    special love to LadyL

    toots xx
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

Greenbee - The week challenge did focus attention. I am up for one if you or anyone else fancies it, but not in the school holidays. Not fair to the boys to ignore them whilst I declutter and scrub . Might have to be done via Facebook though given that there is already the Flylady thread and the de-clutter thread on here. Before and after photos would be essential!
I would like to join in please

You are so right, and I am doing my best. We just don't have space to keep everything. We store things in th bath when it's not in use (which is what I think you are refering to) - like the clothes airer (usually perched over the bath with clothes on it) and the cardboard waiting to be recycled (we keep it in a big bag cos th council don't collect cardboard here). I really don't know where we could keep those things apart from in our living space which would just get irritating. However, there is a lot of stuff that can be got rid of - and hopefully we will be able to tackle under the bed tmrw after I've been to the doctors.

Sexy thanks for the invite but I won’t be able to come on April 10th

    Welcome Play2day and other newbies

Quillion congratulations to your friend, I hope it wasn’t too much of a shock that it wasn’t the kind they said it would be! LOL!

Smartie congratulations! Make sure you get plenty of rest

All your talk about mopping the floor reminded me of my friend who is a cleanliness freak and she makes her dog stand by the door on the mat when she comes in and then my friend cleans each paw with a baby wipe so that the floor won’t get dirty! LOL, it’s hilarious watching her do it! Poor dog

Lilme I think you can probably get those bins from Lakeland or Ikea

Sorry I've not been about today, have been asleep all day, and very tearful when awake. It doesn't help that this stupid lump on my side is so painful. DH says it's grown since Friday when it appeared. I think it's a boil, but going to the doc to find out tmrw.

I'm going to stop moaning now, promise :o

I do at least get dressed (mostly) before I speak to clients :D but I'm NOT wearing a suit at home :p:p:p. I do agree with you that it helps to be washed, with hair done and looking respectable, but at the moment warmth wins over anything else! I'm also reluctant to create more laundry than is absolutely necessary.

Not a good flying week this week, but apart from my desk and the utility room (as usual:rolleyes:) it's all looking OK. Even the kitchen, which given that I've been doing a lot more cooking than normal, is good news. I do need to buy more fruit though... apart from bananas, I seem to be running short...

  • :xmastree: I'd like to be in this week please!

I'm hoping it will be easier for me now that we have Wifi and I can use my iPod Touch to check and update etc. Only fiddle is trying to cut and paste, read huge posts and such. Might just save me time if I feel I can't do all those things till I am on the PC. That was really my downfall with trying to go along with you all in the past, that and trying to follow everyones' conversations and join in. I think I will just have to be the quiet one!
