Miss Higgerty- panicked that someone had paid £30 for a G string then remember you were talking about the Cello. Hope you don't need to buy any more for a while.
Well have done a far bit of flying and even taken some of the buttons of my keyboard to give it a proper clean and impress because they all seem to be working after I put them backhave updated my first page.
can I just confirm with someone that the tax return that needs to be done is 2008-09. Sorry I know it is off topic but a simple yes / no would be great.January Grocery 11/3740 -

Hiya - no flying here I'm afraid! I managed to slip on black ice this morning and landed on my knees. I thought the wet patch on my trousers was melted snow until a lovely elderly gentleman told me my shoe had gone red! Bless him, he took me to hospital where I've been stitched up and then bought me home. Three hours he waited with me. DH is on way back from Hull so he's going to buy a nice box of chocolates and some flowers for the gentleman and his wife!
Stay indoors and eat chocolate. It's safer...:D:mad::p
I have made Spag Bol for dinner and OCD'd some books:D

Haven't stopped all morning yet house still looks like a tip. I have managed to:-
- get everyone up dressed and fed
- slithered to school in the lovely (not) fresh snow we had last night (erm are we in a new Ice Age or something, will it never end)
- walked on to shop for flora and nappies
- dug car out of shop car park where I had to abandon it at 830pm last night cos it wouldnt shift and I had to walk home:mad: Would like to say HUGEST thanks to the 2 lovely men who helped me thig morning :T:T whoever said its bringing out the best in people is spot on
- cleaned DW filters and refilled salt
- cleaned WM cointrap - horrific job, total nightmare to open, stupid design
- stripped childrens beds (not enough else for a whole wash so did their sheets etc)
- emptied and reloaded DW
- put a load of dry laundry away
- got bag of junk stuff ready for school
- done lunch and tidied up
- harrassed husband to change some lightbulbs
AnW's - ouchy ouch hope you are ok , I was gonna give you a hug anyway so here, have 2... ((hug)) ((hug))
melspur - for uncooperative patient - bribery with chocolate ?
Mudders - for gods sake woman, it could only happen to you. Seriously sounds nasty though. Poor you
Sarah - nice to see you , how exciting about the house-work (not the housework LOL)
I got this poem in an email from my Aunt today. Think it has done the rounds before but it made me smile againThought you all might like it:
Cleaning PoemI asked the Lord to tell me
Why my house is such a mess
He asked if I'd been 'computering',
And I had to answer 'yes.'He told me to get off my butt,
And tidy up the house.
And so I started cleaning up...
The smudges off my mouse.I wiped and shined the topside.
That really did the trick...
I was just admiring my good work.I didn't mean to 'click.'But click, I did, and oops - I found
A real absorbing site
That I got SO way into it -
I was into it all night.
So nothing's changed except my mouse.
It's as shiny as the sun.
I guess my house will stay a mess.....
While I sit here on my bum.
(There was then a picture that didnt work but it said "I love my computer because my friends live in it"
I loved that

nutttyrock - I work full time too and commute almost 90 mins each way. Often a lot of the list gets left til the weekend but once you get it under control most rooms don't take long. Kitchen and Bathroom are my favourites as they can be done whilst dinner is cooking - they're next to each other whereas the lounge is at the other end of a long thin flat!
hugs to AnW's mum and mudbath - I feel your pain!
DH's dad just dropped the shovel off so DH has cleared and salted our little path. Boss has said colleague can come here for the meeting tomorrow but colleague would really prefer me to go into work I know (understandably as all the documents we need are there and it's a hassle to email them). BUT a) I'm worried about how to get to work - there were no trains running today from my station and I don't want another 3 hour journey and b) I'm worried about slipping again and making my ankle worse!
I've had a bath and am resting my ankle again - I'll try and do the bathroom later, study is all tidy so just needs a wipe and hoover (and as DH has just knocked the shredder over in there he'll be doing that).
pigpen - thanks...when I googled it said homeopathic arnica tablets are fine but not the cream. I know I'm not necessarily pg I just don't want to take any chances!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -

Mmmm not sure we are ar*ed all the time! But try dot2dotting, decide on one area and clear a bit of it then keep that clear and add a bit more. As they say Rome wasn't built in a day....kazmeister wrote: »AnW'smum - Hope you ok hun, banging your head is NOT good at all. Hope the b*m and elbows aren't too painful either
I checked the symptom thing on NHS Direct so I know what to keep an eye out for  but already I am feeling better than I was.
Kids are being kicked out of school early so Mum and Dad are picking them up for me.
ETA Yikes Mudders that sounds nasty, woohooo for the man that helped you. Hope you feel better soon. xxOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -

oooh, I had a flash back, used to play Double Bass (3/4 size) as a girl and the flipping bus drivers used to charge me 1 child fare and a bike/dog fare and I didn't even get to sit down but had to stand near the driver holding the blooming thing. Why did I not learn and make the kids learn something small, like a flute or a clarinet instead of a keyboard and a trombone  and guess who has to take them everywhere!
Hope you trips/slips and bumps (are we getting a new flybaby today?, so exciting) are all ok? Do be careful out there peeps. Hugs to all esp Turks.
Loved the poem JillD, very funny and also aas Jinky would have it, so duly noted and off for HHC at 2.45 - 3.15 if anyone in?

Quite a bit of ironing done, lunch scoffed, dishes washed and DD gone back out. Having HH to myself now then a HH in the bathroom.
Please, all that HAVE to go out, take care. I don't think it's too slippy here due to all the fresh snow but will find out when I pop to the shop later xx0 -
