I believe I've welcomed everyone, but with everything else going on in my life atm, I'm just not able to get into deep and meaningful chat, sorry
This is so true Pen pen - the formidible force that are the flyladies descending on one unsuspecting thread all at once and without official warning or announcement definitely won't bring out the best in anyone.:pPenelope_Penguin wrote: »What is it that people want - do we want this thread to be about Flying, with a bit of chatOr do we want it to continue as was - a bit of Flying and lots of chat
I think we all need to take a deep breath, stand back and reconsider the situation. It all really arose because poor Toots went into hospital, WITHOUT TELLING ANYONE DIRECTLY, LEAVING US TO SECOND GUESSthen felt overwhelmed - quite understandably because it's the January peak! That [STRIKE]should be[/STRIKE] IS sorted now.
But, on the other hand, where as, recently, people have made immediate posts in answer to one, maybe we should all consider saving them up so we answer several posts in one post and add what we've done flying wise as well. That should make things easier.Penelope_Penguin wrote: »I'm honestly not bothered - I post my list and chat if I can, but as I tend not to get into lots of chatting, I feel that I'm seen as a bit of an outsider (I appreciate that my Special Buddies don;t feel like that, but lots donot a problem, as I've said).
Penelope Penguin (note I'm using your full name, so you should take this with the seriousness with which it is delivered) You are NOT an outsider, you're a lovely lady and I personally feel you contribute loads and this board would be a sadder place without you xxx

Hi HariboJunkie
I have to say that the majority were very welcoming apart from the one that Benw mentions above and I for one will be posting again but I think we all get used to certain threads and the regulars that appear on each one have a certain camaradie amongst themselves. Thanks for taking the time to post on here and see you over there
Thanks for that Poppy. :A I really do mean it that as far as I am concerned it's lovely to see new faces on the daily. :j
Like I said, that comment above wasn't posted by a daily regular and I reeally think she got the wrong end of the stick as I think she was very welcome on the thread.
Anyway... I'll butt out now before I get myself in trouble.0 -

And sorry you don't like the thread either Pigpen.
I'm a lurking Flylady. I do loosely follow the lists but don't post as the thread is too big for me. Sorry again that the daily thread doesn't suit people but i really don't think anyone was unwelcoming.....
Hi Haribo - you have convinced me to come and give it a go. I am not very good at new places, new things and making friends but I am going to try the daily thread and always thought it was just as friendly as this place. I have lurked before and enjoy reading it - time to give a little instead of just taking.
HHI done so we have clothes for the next few days. DW emptied and filled just waiting for the TD to stop so I can fold stuff before I slope off for my bath.
ETA PP, I have never thought of you as an outsider? You do the lists week in, week out, you take an interest in other people and I for one miss you when you don't post.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
:xmastree:hi all! thankyou for the welcome. I'm finished :0), i have conquered the useful draw and have come away with lost envelopes and my best nailfile (missing for 6 weeks!). Candles and lighters plus matches sorted. dp's small tools which had migrated to the draw, back where they need to be.
I was lucky with the tasks for today as dp and i always have a tidy on a sunday so it wasn't too bad. Not going to do the extras today but will try to fit them in tomorrow.

I'm kind of in this week - I'm aiming for Level 1 across the board (next week I'll go for Level 2) and a MACAW of burning 500+ calories on the wii fit every day. My friend is getting married in December and I desperately want to loose some more weight before then
I'm off onto the wii and will vacuum tomorrow as I've spent the last 30mins doing more paperwork - oh and I found the microwave instruction book I put it in with the recycling by accident - must have thought it was the old one
Monday - Living room, hall and stairs
Level one
Clear floors of clutter and vacuum them

Is very cold here tonight and had a late night, badly sleeping kids and an early morning - so am going to work on Make time for yourself!! Half an hour of peace (in a seriously big bath) and then work on the hoovering tomorrow - Newborn babysteps all the way here.
Btw I think you are all lovely and don't mind whether you post bits, chat or whatever. I read what I can, when I can within my time limit (am a serious surfer so have had to set limits) and if I don't send hugs, smiles, etc cos I miss things - I do still care and value everyone's support.Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Not a lot done today apart from ironing and I still have a load more to do - however Monday is Beaver's night so i don't have a lot of time anyway.
Is anyone in Glasgow? Can you tell me what the roads are like there - specifically M8 around J29. DH is driving up there on Thursday so wants an idea of how good/bad the weather/roads are.
I'm going to have an early night I think - I feel shattered tonight - but Greenbee, I've done over 10,000 steps which is a lot more than usual!
Hugs to all
Jue
ETA Actually I'm going to defrag the computer as it's started running really slow so I'll see if that will help.

Evening all
Not been the best of days mentally for me but things will get better. As a result I have not done a lot of flying
I think we are all agreed that flying and chatting is what makes this thread go round, speaking as one who has had loads of support over the last 3 years. I tend to only really post on here as I can't keep up with too many threads and do everything else that real life demands.
Each and every person that posts on here is welcome and I would hate that feeling to disappear.
Oooh just remembered I have done some flying, I have put the DW onI might even go and do some ironing now, or I could play lemmings on Dad's old laptop that he has given to W!
Love n hugs all round xx
ETA Happy Birthday Rachand thanks for the pedometer reminder Jue I need to start wearing mine again. Can someone remind me to put it on in the morning please

poffigirl - glad you got your water back on
nuttirockeress - At first the chores take a while to do (well they did with me as there was so much grime) now they take less so aim to start by doing level 1's then next week they'll be quicker to do. I've been here a LONG while and still havent got my house sorted but most rooms are done now, only 2 more to go which are bad. Kitchen/bathroom days I can usually do in about 1/2 hour now other rooms take longer depending who's left what about.
charjoelily - welcome to the thread
Frenchgirl - it was me, am going to phone a friend who is a retained and ask him to put me in touch with someone

Have folded and relocated all washing done today
DD's lunch is done and in fridge ready for 2moro
DW is on
I cannot face anything else today so am going to have my half hour doing nothing (well I'm actually going to sit in DD's room and nag her to get to bed on time) :rotfl:Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0
