Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Is anyone in Glasgow? Can you tell me what the roads are like there - specifically M8 around J29. DH is driving up there on Thursday so wants an idea of how good/bad the weather/roads are.
    Jackieglasgow might be :rotfl:
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Oh well, today did not turn out as expected! Went early to the gym and walked ..hailed by familiar van driver as I walked home - had totally forgotten he was to put up shelves in dining room and a bedroom today! Bless him he wasn't angry - and had waited nearly an hour! Of course I hadn't cleared anything....so now, dining room is deep in piles (but great new shelving up!) and the spare room is full of everything from the smallest room! No flying - just piles that now need sorting. Help!

Hi all, can I join in too? I'm another fugitive from Flylady I'm afraid - we were chatting too much on there and not doing the flying, so we have been recommended to come over here to chat with all of you, as you are so friendly :D
On the other hand there do seem to have been a number of posts commenting on how busy, full of new people, confusing, the thread has been today.
Oh well, I knew I was spending too much time on the computer anyway.

, I think you've taken Crafty's post totally the wrong way. I don't think for one moment she was directing her comments at you personally. I think she quoted it to add to her thoughts on how the OS Daily thread regulars were totally bemused by the sudden influx of flyladies (of which she herself was one!) xxx

welcome to the thread nuttyrockeress (love the name:D) how long is a piece of string - its hard to say as we all have different sized houses/rooms and in a different state of mess!!!!! You will find you take much longer in your first 3/4 weeks and then once you get into a routine a list should take you much less - helpful arent I????:rotfl: it also depends on the interuptions from helpful children and OHs.

    charjoelily welcome. to you too

nice to see you popping in haribo

    Good evening Flyladies :D

I just thought I would pop in and thank all of you who so kindly posted hugs, condolences and kind thoughts for me on the Daily thread today :A:A

I loved having you all posting it made the thread busy & fun :T You are a combined force to be reckoned with ladies :rotfl:

BenW I haven't seen CraftyScholar on the Daily before today so I, too, am confused but I don't honestly think that anything personal was intended by it.

I hope to 'see' many of you again tomorrow it's a brilliant place to ask quick questions (even better & quicker than the official quick questions thread :o), share cooking & house type tips and there is a lot of support on there too, as there is here.

Off to bed soon as I'm almost asleep on my feet (or bottom as I'm sat down ;))

    Good night all xx
  • I came on this thread for flying. It's inevitable where there are friends who have a history that it fels a little cliquey even if it's not.

I think the navel gazing is becoming self-indulgent. Set up a Flylady Chat thread - that would solve the problems. I don't have the energy or brain space to be concerned about these issues and I'm sure others don't. I get concerned about "real" problems not this sort of perceived problem on a forum thread.
