I have joined ww on line. Is there an easier way to work out points instead of having to log onto the site each time as we have no book or points wheel to calculate things. Am finding it a bit of a chore having to keep checking. By the way I have about 3 stone to lose so its a loooong road!

I've got into a habit of planning ahead... logging in every evening to plan tomorrow's food and update any changes to that day's. You will also find you get to know points values for meals you eat regularly and more roughly what is generally good or bad value food (eg steer clear of cheese! go for as much veg as possible!)
Some of the supermarkets list points values on their healthy eating ranges. The lovely ladies here will also share their tips for low-point treats eg sugar-free jelly, pink and white wafers, mini-milk lollys!

I believe you can buy a points calculator - I don't have one myself so I'm no sure where you get them from (sorry!)

    welcome and good luck!

I have one - absolute godsend, carry it with me everywhere! Got it from my meeting, if you dont go to meetings you can generally pop along to your closest one and buy from their shop. Leaders dont seem to mind - I guess its all business to them. Also seen on ebay, maybe even the shop in the ww website sells 'em.

I've just cancelled my monthly pass so won't have access to WW sites much longer but have all the books nd Noreen's site (in OP) is fantastic.

If anyone needs points for anything just ask I'm sure between us we'll find the answer!
Really should be doing some work...

Don't know what my target is, but lets say 10 stone 5 - that's 2 stone off my starting weight and well within the healthy BMI range for my height.

Been at it since late November, I'm currently around 11 & a half stone although no WI for almost a month now due to xmas and snow days!
  • JTB,

The calc is on the 1st WW thread but I also found it on the ivillage website somewhere.

Just seen on TV, 'The Diets that Time Forgot'. It's on tomorrow night on More 4 at 9pm. Might be worth a look.

i saw an ad for that programme- it looks like torture-tainment in the same vein as "i'm a celeb". i think time forgot those diets for a reason! ^_^

am feeling smug as i am currently 1 point under my daily allowance. this is a good thing. usually i really struggle to stick to 21!

ooh pink and white wafers- how many pts are they then? yum. :)
