Hi folks! Loving all this enthusiasm tonight! Am really starting to feel motivated again after the Christmas lull!
Jtb - would you please add me to the members list for this thread? My current target is 11st 7 (just into a healthy bmi and a size 14) although if I reach this and feel I can keep going I definitely will! (at the moment I can't even imagine being smaller than a 14!)
To introduce myself to everyone, I am slimming for my wedding which will be in just over a year's time. I have lost 18lbs since end Sept and dropped a dress size and want to reach my target by March. I feel like my eating habits are much better than before I started WW - even when I am having a naughty moment I am more restrained than I used to be! I find keeping up with the thread really helpful and my fiance and Mum are both super-supportive too. I have been a curvy girl since I was a young teenager, but weight has slooowly crept up from size 14 to 18 and now I'm dealing with it!
Because I am slimming for the wedding I will have to stabilize my weight once i have chosen a wedding dress (summer at the latest) so if I do decide to drop to a smaller size i have to do it sooner rather than later!
Thanks guys for keeping up the thread! :jfran-o0 -
Unfortunatel money saving was the reason for the lasagnr in the first place! We had loads of mince in the freezer so cheap meal! Think I'll make it in two different dishes! Tiny bit of mince is mine and loads of onion and tomato to bulk it out, and only on sheet of pasta and no cheese sauce!0

Hi there - why not substitute some of the meat with vegetables eg peppers, mushrooms etc, that way you eat less meat and more point-free veg!fran-o0

I have joined ww on line. Is there an easier way to work out points instead of having to log onto the site each time as we have no book or points wheel to calculate things. Am finding it a bit of a chore having to keep checking. By the way I have about 3 stone to lose so its a loooong road!0

Use the following calculation:
KCal/70 + Sat Fat/4 = Points Value (round up down as necessary)

Hi fran-o and BlazingDuck (great weight loss this week ! :j), good to see you over here ! We thought the old thread was getting a bit long and kind of elected to start a new one
fran-o, didn't know you were getting married ! Congratulations ! A great incentive if there ever was one to lose weight.
Welcome bigmommamuppet, this is a very friendly thread, you'll soon get the hang of things. I'm in it for the long-haul too  (got about 5 stone to lose). Feel free to ask any questions. Are you going to class or doing online?
Stressedoutmum, no easy way I'm afraid but you will soon get to know the basics and how many points they are (e.g. bread, chicken) Not sure if you've got an Ebay account but that's quite a good place to pick up a 'points' book for a bit less than the usual price? Or maybe put a 'wanted' on your local freecycle group?
I'm in progress of checking the other two major supermarkets for their offers on WW items so I'll update the first post a bit later.
OMG, I just realised its my WI tomorrow, I'd forgotten all about it !:jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0 -

Welcome newbies!! Oooh there really is a lot of motivation tonight I agree fran-o and long may it continue.
I am seriously bored and thinking of getting in bed with a book before I hit the fridge..Really should be doing some work...0
