ww make changes to the plan every 2 years anyway so most of the books etc become more or less obsolete- there is nothing saying that you have to stick to the new plan, just like when they got rid of core, a lot of people stuck to it because it worked for them.

Not a change like this one!

I've been a cleark at meetings for over 8 years, and not once in this time have they changed the way points are calculated!

It's always been a calculation of cals and saturated fat.

The change is a total re working of what is used to work out points....
  • I have used ww for a long time and simply maintained due to a lack of motivation and not following the plan properly. My BF proposed 22 July 2010 and since then I've lost 13lb and am really sticking to the plan and exercising etc.

I have also heard the rumours of the change. Sad that it's such a big change to be honest however sometimes change is good. They would not do this if they thought it would not work. I think having to relearn a plan and points will be good to get in the swing of and will make us double check weight/points and track accurately.

I do not work for WW in any way just trying to put a positive spin on it. It will not be easy in any way esp. as I'm finally sticking in with my weight loss but trying to see it as a good thing rather than a problem.

I am up for joining the stone for Xmas club! My weigh in is at meeting on a Tuesday night!

    Good luck ladies :T

it's not that people don't welcome change...

but because they are changing how you work out points - everything you have brought b4 will become worthless... (if you want to folow the new plan)

some people will have spent £49 on kitchen scales, £10 on a calulator, £16 for a pedometer, umpteen £ on cook books, eating out guides, shopping guides etc...

and they won't be able to be used in conjuction with the new plan.

This is what is causing all of the upset.

yes- the new way of working out points will be different to the current way - this is my understanding

I think the change is being announced in Nov.

you may have noticed them selling things off in your meetings, boxes of bars 3 for £5, crisps multibuy also, books, eating out guides, scales, calculators have been reduced for AGES, people have been snapping these up spending lots of money thinking its a good deal not knowing there is a new plan coming out.
  • i've lost another 2lb this week (well fortnight :A) :j. No.98. i didn't know the plan was changing . i suppose if we don't like the new plan and the old one was working, we can always swap back.

  • Hi

Am just curious as might join WW online soon but not sure. Would anyone be able to tell me how I work out how many my daily points would be ? I plan to start using the ready meals and pre-prepared stuff to get me going for the first 4 weeks or so.

    Thanks

    :)
Failure is only someone elses judgement.
Without change there would be no butterflies.
