    hi :)

Ive been lurking as i am desperate to start WW, just got to bite the bullet, i "played" back last year when my two housemates did WW and lost, however now its a year on and with lots of change there has been no smoking since June 09, 10lbs added on my waist line and a wonderful man.

However, i am not happy with my weight, i am much smaller than i have been in the past (biggest was 19st 7) i am currently 13st 10 (according to my nan's scales but the ones i will use will be the ones at home which are a good few pounds lighter) which i know is great, by my 5'8 frame should be much less, according to a bmi thingy ive found to be a healthy weight i should be just 10 stone!!!!

So, any hints and tips for someone who is starting out, ive worked out my points allowance and im allowed 22 a day, OH is allowed 34 which is so unfair by the way.

I am not going to meetings since i currently live between two homes over 100 miles apart with work somewhere in between and its just not possible, but i am going to get the books from Ebay and will be posting on here probably way too much lol.

Now ive just got to convince OH that i need an iphone so that i can use the app and sign up to the site lol

There are so many impressive stories on here i just wanted to say well done and hope i can join you very soon and start shifting this excess :)

Well done for all your losses everyone!! My wi is tomo, hope i have a good result. will post to let you all know :) wish me luck!!

Puzzled, welcome to the thread. you said you were once 19st just curious did you lose most of that weight by doing ww before? My advice is to plan and track everything down so you clearly know where your 22 points are being spent. I find it best to plan in snacks and dont leave long period without having something even if its just fruit :) good luck and post often. x

    Update:

I am still here, have just met a new man! And in love so in a complete whirl wind so haven't been able to post my weight updates. I got to goal! So now go free, am now 10 stone 9. I lost 3lbs in one week when I met him lol!! But now he keeps feeding me!! Argh! So probably gained, wont find out to next week as my ww class has been shut for 2 weeks for some reason. No cover I think. So I have the challenge of avoiding his food now!

Thanks for the welcome Focus :) I lost all of my weight before totally on my own by stopping myself from eating what i was (a bag of Haribo every day is not good for anyone lol) I did a lot of changing the way that i eat etc and now i do eat relatively well.

But my portion sizes are far too big, and i have to stop myself buying sweets to go in the car!

Thanks for the advice :) Ive managed to save some pennies when dress shopping today so will hopefully be getting the books sooner than i though :)

Well done on your loss this week :)

I wonder if anyone can help. My husband has decided he wants to loose quite a bit of weight and I want to tone up after having our second baby. he did start ww some time ago and we had a book which helped us work out our points allowance and it had a guide about how many points were in everyday foods. I can't find another one online and wondered if it had all changed? Is there a book/guide which you can use from home (he won't go to meetings)?if so what is it called? We have a 3 year old so would like to put together my own recipes to suit us all really so we can still eat together. For example i could make a lasagne and break down values for all the ingredients and work out how to trim it down.

Would be so grateful for any advice so we can make a start! We'll then join this thread officially if we may:j
