    Hi all,

and thanks Tina. No, not doing enough exercise. Am a bit limited with joint problems, but of course I could do a bit of walking or cycling, and a fair bit of swimming. Instead I sat on the computer all morning, and only just got in from work now.
    Excuses again!
Have been quite active in the garden over the last few weeks, but obiously this is not enough to boost metabolism or burn a few extra points, as the recent weightgain proves.
Okay, here's the plan, must go on exercise bike tomorrow, at least 20 min or 2 lots of 10. I can do this, even on a working day, I just don't make the time.
    What's power league?

Raggy, I promise to put on a decent recipe soon, what kind of food do you like?

    Regards absfabs

Zumba tonight, supposed to burn lots of calories off. How did it go last night fran-o??!!! im actually quite excited about it (which makes me sound so so sad!:rotfl:)]

    Hi there

Have to report I didn't make it as far as Zumba last night - oops
I work in London and live in the suburbs... so my train being delayed by half an hour meant I couldn't get home and fed and out again in time... Will try again next week!
Not having a good week as far as WW goes...
Would love to hear how your Zumba went :T

Just got back from zumba and all i have to say is OH MY GOD!!!!!!! I actually managed the hour as even though its a cardio workout your not jumping about as much as aerobics but my muscles feel it so much more! I now understand why dancers have such good bodies! ;) Its gross to say but i was sweating where i didnt even know you could sweat....................................excellent workout, just deciding whether it was a high or moderate activity...either way for the hour its still a few extra points. :D

Gonna be extra good and try not to use all the extra points and should be on for a loss next week.

  • Haven't been on here for a little while - really MUST get into a habit of posting daily to keep myself positive.

However - I do return with positive news! I hit my target last Friday on my weigh in. Lost 1lb which meant overall I've lost the 14lb I wanted to before my 6 month deadline :D GOAL!!!

So I can now officially say that I have completed my New Year's Resolution and lost 14lb before the 1st June :D

Now the hard part is keeping it that way until the 1st June to make sure I have actually kept to that 14lb loss ON the 1st June!!!!

    Thrilled. :D

Weighed in last night, lost 1.5 lbs. Am doing a sort of combination of WW and low-carbing this week, to see if I can shift a few more pounds before a family party on 6 June. 6lbs to goal, am going to try to achieve it before my current monthly pass runs out on 26/6.
  • Ok, so I had a bit of a fail this evening and now feel super bad. :(

I was making some cupcakes earlier, and totally ate 2 of them when they were finished, and a what felt like a whole !!! load of buttercream :( *sob*

I'm hoping this isn't going to have a downer on my weigh in tomorrow. Like - seriously! Ugh! I feel rather sick now, through both too much sugar and guilt! FAIL :(

    Hi confused,

just saying hello to the other newcomers on this page. I've never been to a meeting, but some of the recipes I get via the on-line website are quite good, I expect you will be given some booklets with menue ideas to get you started.

Like you, I get a bit in a rut, cooking the same things and then getting bored and grabbing "treats". I don't have much time for specialised shopping and cooking, so rarely try anything too complicated.

Anyway, I'm sure you'll get lots of materials to get you started tomorrow, let us know how you get on.

hi absfabs :D thanks for the welcome
well, went to my first meeting today, it went well. it was a very busy class though, about 30 people there! actually weigh less than i thought so that's a bonus!

i got a load of info about points and meal ideas etc so spent the afternoon planning. cooked a recipe tonight which was tasty but i was left hungry (used to bigger portions of pasta!) i've still got some points left over so i can have something later if i get desperate. it will take me a while to get the hang of what i can and can't do etc

i've got an initial target weight loss of 19lbs

hope everyone is having a good day xxx

Ticklepenny, my target is 10 stone just so you can add it on your thread, only started on monday, and having seriously bad bad headaches! Im assuming its lack of sugar, as i was one for a very very sweet tooth, 3 sugars in my tea and had about 5 cups a day, whereas only having one now :-( please tell me these headaches will go away! Also does anyone know how many points are in Suet Dumplings? xxxx
