I think I'm getting over it and happy with my decision. However I've decided that to 'make up for it' I'm going to look and see what I can sell to raise extra funds to replace all the money I could've paid off the card :)

  • Afternoon!
I swear my brain is going to the dogs you know. Is it really tuesday already?? What the hell happened to monday? Nothing to report spending diary wise other than £5 for boss' birthday collection yesterday. Tonight I've got band practice (yay :D) and also going to look at a kitten to potentially rehome it! Yaaaaaaaaaaay :D Things haven't been the same since taking my dad's cat back who we looked after for 3 weeks and this kitten is 16 weeks old and with a local cat rescue charity. However if we go ahead and have him it's going to be £40 to help pay for his costs while he was with them  Jesus wept. If we want him we'll have to put a deposit down on him to secure him while they come out to do a home visit.
Why does everything have to cost money?? lol!

In other news I had a letter inviting me for another interview for a generalist advisor post. I don't think I'm going to go though. I spoke to my boss and she's applying for extra funding from all sorts of places and is trying her best. Plus I don't want to leave. I think I'm going to have a look and see what things would be like financially, as I realised that K will get half her nursery fees funded by the government from april (term time) so things may not be as dire as I'd first though.. so will need to have a look and see what would happen.
I dunno. I just don't want to leave where I am unless it's absolutely essential. Will have a look at the financial implications of staying and go from there I think.

  • I can stay, but it would be on a voluntary basis other than a 4 hour contract, so I'd lose all my working tax credits and my childcare costs! Hence the dilemma...

  • Have had a look at my finances and things are going to be really tight on benefits again unless I make some big sacrifices or cut down my hours. :(
With this is mind I've decided to carry on the job search and if I can get a job elsewhere I'm going to have to take it. I really don't want to but I can't see any other way sadly. I've got a job interview on monday for the generalist advisor post I applied for. Still feel weird about it but if I could afford to stay... :\

We went to see a kitten on monday who's up for adoption from a local rescue centre. I've got the home visitor coming at 2.30 to see if we're suitable. If so we can go and get him. He's absolutely adorable, 16 weeks ok little black and white boy called Marley. He sucks everything in sight which is so cute. lol Will update with what happens!

Soooo skint at the moment. In that horrible end of the month stress where all the money I have is needed for bills at the beginning of march. I did have some good news that my weekly rent is going down by about £1 from april... thrilling huh? lol Have my car tax next month too.. yyyyyaaaaaaaaaayyyy. *rolls eyes* Wonder how much THAT will be.....

Hope everyone's well! Been really busy with work recently as have just taken on a really big case so it's all go.... not complaining though, I really enjoy it :) Just a lot of work at the mo, plus I have my OU course, band stuff to learn and bass lesson stuff too! Oh not to mention the house and the kids to sort out... my social life is non existent at the mo! Probably a good job as I'm flat broke anyway.. lol!

  • Typical. Apparently I have to jump through hoops to be able to have Marley.. they need written permission from the landlord.... and apparently me showing them my tenancy agreement which clearly states I'm allowed pets isn't acceptable and I have to get the landlord to write a letter. !!!!!!. I already have a cat and could show them my agreement!!!
    Grrr.
