  • Just leave he is a leach and a manipulator , could you recoup any money from items off his ?

  • i agree with the others, as it sounds like the more you staythe more you will lend him to keep the relationship going. the only other way is to engage him in conversation and record it...? that said, you would have to then take him to small claims, and i don't even know if that sort of evidence would be admissable.

    cut and run and soon.

As others have said, you need to cut your losses and get this leech out of your life.

My ex was exactly the same - he would blank me all week, and only start being civil again when the weekend was approaching and he knew he would need money to go to football or our clubbing.

I realise £1,600 is a lot to write off, but if you don't let it go you will be tied to him even longer.

What does he need to borrow money of you for? Has he ever repaid any money to you?

Write off the £1600 and get rid of him. It's worth it in the long run.

  • I agree with everyone else, get out now before you end up losing more money.

Did he spend the £1600 on material things? If so, could you "take" them when you/he leaves, and ebay them to get some money back?

Make sure you change any pins that he knows for your cards. If you won't give him the cards, he may take them and use them.

If you stay, in the hope that one day he will repay what he owes you - you will spend more money on him - one way or another - food, bills etc.

    Cut your losses now.
