Update.
Venue - deposit paid
Tables - we've decided on a theme for table names (world class footballers)
Registrar - we have to ring and book them no earlier then a year before :-(
Casino tables - deposit paid
Cake and chair covers- mum sorting (though she's "emigrating" early next year - so not sure how that is going to work...?)
Dress - got an idea of the one I want but don't feel I can order it until closer to the date?
Flowers - I was thinking of artificial ones for bouquets (can be kept as keepsakes, won't agitate any hayfever,) but one of my bridemaids isn't keen on fake ones and would like to take me to some flower shops.
Photographer - got a shortlist together, http://www.iphotix.com/ this guy (ian5 on this site) came to see us last week, mighty impressed with the albums!
Save the date cards/invites/place cards/table plans - my chief bridemaid is sorting these and some save the date samples should arrive in the post soon!!:kisses2: Got married September 2011:smileyhea

OOh... I too lost this thread! There are a fair few of us now!
Helllooooo & welcome to the new brides & grooms!
All quiet here on the wedding front, not really done anything new since buying the dress, oh, except I did buy everything I need for the invites, table names etc for future use, though the way the time is passing I'm sure I'll be making a start on it all before I know it! Bought it all from here, http://www.thehandcraftedcardcompany.co.uk/21-greeting-card-clearance.asp and it's beautiful quality. Bought cards, inserts & diamante buckles, very pleased with it all.
Am now looking for/ trying to decide on whether to have a live band/singer or just a dj. There will only be 42 of us so really not sure which to go for? And I'm hunting for a pair of red shoes, I know exactly what I want, but can I find them.... no!
Everything else still decided on in my head!:heartpuls dawnebabe :heartpuls0 -

Hi Kate, welcome & congrats!
We too can't book our registrar yet, but our venue assured us that it wouldn't be a problem... still a tiny worry though so I know what you mean! I'm sure it will all be ok though x:heartpuls dawnebabe :heartpuls0 -

Hi there, I just happened to come across your page whilst I was googling ideas. I too am getting married on 24th Sept 2011.
I'm originally from England but moved up to Scotland years ago.
I've booked both my venues but have no idea where to head to next!
Colour schemes was my next idea but everytime I think of something I get doubts about it.
I had come up with greens/creams/ivorys and a little gold, but then I read somewhere (if your superstitious which I'm not but...) greens were unlucky unless your from Ireland, so I'm confused again.
TOOTHFAIRY4- I have relatives that live in Surrey!
I like your idea of setting up this september brides page, it's nice to hear about other people's experiences.
BUDDIEBABE- I haven't been to any wedding fairs in Scotland yet, I'm not too sure when I should start looking round, I'm worried if i see something too early I'll regret it nearer the time hehe.
I live on the North West Coast of Scotland by the way, and I think there are wedding fairs near Inverness. We've booked Eilean Donan Castle as our venue (it's popular for locals and anybody seeking the Highlands as a destination). As for the reception, well my partner and his family came together a bought a hotel here and run it themselves, we've decided to have the reception in the hotel mainly because it's where we first met, it's a beautiful location and due to our budget makes sense. (We're paying for it ourselves, and are saving up as much as we can). I just got a full time job else where to help too.
Anyhow I hope to help and recieve tips and advice hehe0
